I am 61 years old and have never had a tattoo. Recently I lost a granddaughter to congenital CMV. Our hearts were broken and one thing I could do in her memory is get my first tattoo to remember and remind me of her every day. I told Clayton my story and showed him how I wanted to remember her. Her birth flower is a poppy (August) and I wanted forget me nots around the flower. I also wanted it on my left wrist where I would have held her. He did an amazing job. Could not have asked for anything more.

Glen is amazing! I’ve gotten two tattoos from him and have a third one planned in October. It’s about a two hour drive from where I live, but his work is totally worth it! :)

I’ve been coming to The Roost monthly for the past two years. I have nothing but positive things to say. The professionalism, cleanliness and work ethic is nothing like I’ve ever experienced with a tattoo studio before. It can be intimidating or scary walking in to get a tattoo. The comfortability and reassurance is phenomenal. You can tell they truly care you’re thrilled with your new piece of art.

Instantly became a lifetime customer. Insane quality of work with a positive atmosphere and people I genuinely enjoy being around (which is huge when getting tattooed)

First tattoo and wasn't walked through it, just colored it in without letting me check the see if I like the colors as I only was shown the outlines. Lines aren't very clean and the color is patchy. It makes me sad as I paid a lot of money and I just wish the artist would have let me know he wouldn't be able to do what I wanted. It is also on me for closing the wrong artist. I'm scared of going back though as I don't trust their skill to fix it and my artist was very aggressive over the phone.... Also, the art is almost an exact copy of another peice I found online, I feel as though now the art is almost stolen?

I've been to the roost for years with Clayton, he's is the man. Solid set of artists here, anyone you choose or that chooses you will do a stand up job.

Glen did my first and it was a lovely little parlor, very clean and very quaint. It was really cute! The lights are really bright so if you are laying down for the tattoo and get headaches maybe wear sunglasses or something? But overall, love it :)

The roost is definitely the best option for getting clean, bold, and professional tattoos in central Washington. Whether you're looking for a realistic, traditional, illustrative, geometric, or any other style you can think of, this shop has an artist that can meet and even exceed your expectations! I have never seen one tat come out of that shop that wasn't high quality and well worth the going rate of $120/hr. Glen Helm has done most of my work there, and he has been awesome! Not only are his ideas badass, but you can tell that dude and every other artist in there love what they do. The Roost is always a super friendly and welcoming environment to anyone who walks through the door. 5 out of 5 stars. Support this local business!!!

I have heard such stellar things about this studio, so I made an appointment with them for my first tattoo. I wish I had been walked through things a lot better though. I had to ask a lot of questions, and I didn't get to see or work on the artwork beforehand. (They should assume a newbie would need to think these things over for a few days.) Probably a stellar place to go for your second art.

Great artists, great music, great conversation. Would definitely get tattooed here again!
