Union Tattoo

I’ve been there twice now. These guys provide a clean and welcoming environment. I love their work and the passion they put into each piece. I can’t wait to go back again!

Union is an incredibly warm and comfortable shop. All the artist are very professional and you can tell they care deeply about their work. I finished up a sleeve with Glen a week ago and could not be happier with it. You can tell he puts a lot of effort into his art and cares deeply about it. He was also a very gentle and attentive to my comfort throughout the process. The artistry and quality of tattoos that come out of this shop is top tier and I can't wait for my next one.

I have known Glen and Cody for many years before union tattoo even started. They are some of the best tattooers I have seen in my life. They are beyond professional and take a lot of time designing tattoos that the client never gets charged for. I first met both of them in 2015. The pride they take in their work is unbelievable. If you are considering getting a tattoo at union tattoo glen and Cody always live up to expectations. That is an understatement. They exceed their expectations. You will never be disappointed with this shop. I am 7 hours away from ellensburg and covered in tattoos. The drive is always worth it.

LOVE THIS SHOP. Glenn has put some amazing work on me and everytime I go I leave so happy. I’ve followed him from his old shop to this new one cause he’s one of the greats. The communication is always amazing. He’s never let me down, 10/10 recommend this shop to anyone looking for a well done tattoo you’ll love forever!

Such a cool, zen studio with a very comfortable, communal vibe. Glen and Cody have made Union Tattoo, a little gem in Ellensburg, such a unique place that compliments their amazing talents so well. Getting tattooed here was such an enjoyable experience it was hard not to be a little bummed when Glen & I were wrapping up a big project. I hope to be back!

clean, very professional, glen and cody are extremely dedicated artists and craftsmen that know how valuable a piece is to each client. glen has tattooed me and continues to do so. my older tattoos truly maintain their bold colors and they are my favorite pieces by far. the booking process is very straightforward when he opens his books he provides instructions in writing directly on his socials. all in all the union shop is an excellent experience.

I’ve had 2 tattoos done now by Glen and will be having a third done later this month and I could not be more stoked. His work is absolutely amazing, his attention to detail is incredible and you can really see the love he puts into his pieces. On top of all that, he is one of the nicest, down to earth people I have had the pleasure of meeting I can’t recommend him enough!

As soon as you walk through the door of Union Tattoo, you can tell it’s going to be an amazing experience. The shop is welcoming and clean. The artists, Glen, Cody, and apprentice Zoie, are kind and great at communicating. Thinking of a tattoo idea but not sure how to bring it to life? These artists can and they will exceed your expectations. This is by far the best shop with the absolute best artists in little ol Ellensburg!

Glen is hands down one of the best tattoo artists out there. If you want an artist that cares about the art he is making, look no further. Every crazy idea I’ve ever had he has made work beautifully and better than I could ever imagine. I still get asked if my tattoos are new after multiple years of settling. Truly cannot go wrong. He’s tattooed over my scars, and he’s given me cover ups. I’ve brought him random ideas as well as taken his from his flash. Every single experience is up to his highest standards. He WANTS his art on your body to be amazing. Trust the process.

I had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. This was my first time getting a big piece and Glen was so accommodating and overall, just a really great guy! You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work and the design he came up with for my tattoo exceeded my expectations. I've gotten so many compliments and people now telling me they're going to Glen next. The shop itself was very clean and welcoming. Everyone at the shop is really cool and makes the entire experience fun. I can't wait to go back to get more work done!

I worked with Glen for portraits of my dogs. I live in the tricities and I would drive 2.5hours to ellensburg to get more ink done by him any day. He was very professional easy to communicate with, and his artistry is amazing and I couldn’t not love my tattoos more. As for union shop- it’s amazing. Everyone in the shop is kind and welcoming. I recommend people to them all the time!

I've gotten two large pieces from Glen, as well as something from Cody prior to them opening Union Tattoo. I've had the privilege of watching their work and craftsmanship grow over the years to what it is now, which is stunning and some of the best quality you could receive. They are both incredibly talented and 100% dedicated to their clients and the life-long art they're creating for them. Can't go wrong with supporting Union Tattoo!

Tl;dr: Complete lack of communication from Glen - the actual worst communication with any tattoo artist I’ve ever had. I booked and paid for an appointment with Glen Helm last year in March, with an appointment that was supposed to be in November. Obviously the non refundable deposit was taken - it was around $200 dollars. When November came around, two days before the appointment, I emailed Glen and he had not finished the commissioned piece. 24 hours before the appointment, he tells me he’s finished it but doesn’t send me a picture of it, or a description, a time to come in for my appointment or even a location for the appointment. Glen was previously working at a different tattoo studio. Union was one he opened up just around November, but he didn’t inform me of that or anything else about my appointment. So I asked to cancel because it was 24 hours before my appointment and I had no information - once again, not even a time. I also asked for my deposit back since I didn’t get any of this information. He said no, and told me I could rebook for March this year to not “lose my deposit.” So I asked to do that and the few emails I sent about it were all ignored. I got no responses. I lost my deposit, and got no art - not even a description of what was supposedly “designed for me.”

My experience here was great! Zoie was so sweet and professional and made the whole experience super relaxing and fun. The shop itself is stellar as well— it’s a huge space so you feel like you have a lot of privacy. 10/10 recommend checking this place out!!!!

I have gotten 3 tattoos total from Glen. 2 were when he was at the roost and 1 now at the new shop. I have multiple tattoos from different artists, and Glen is now my regular tattoo artist. Him and Cody were always bringing good vibes and make the clients feel comfortable. Now, at the new shop, they are doing better than ever!! The shop has the most comfy, cozy, real vibes! It is decorated in the best way with a vintage vibe crossed with traditional tattoo shops! Cody and Glen feel at home at the shop, they keep the environment fun, and work so amazingly well together!

When I got a tattoo here I felt so welcomed. The shop had a very relaxing atmosphere and everyone there was sooo friggin nice. Also all the tattooers are stellar. 10/10 You gotta get tattooed here!

Great shop in a great location. Got tatted by Cody when I was home for Christmas and it was honestly the best experience I’ve probably had getting a tattoo. Definitely recommend this shop over any other shop in central Washington.

Cody Lamar is an exceptional American traditional artist! I’ve got a couple tattoos from him now and I can’t wait to go back.
