Convicted Designs Tattoo & Piercing

Lynae does amazing work. She did excellent work on my piece and very detailed oriented.

I had gone in a couple weeks ago and got a tattoo done by Sam and had an amazing experience. and just yesterday Lynae did such an amazing job on my moms tattoo!! Coloring was perfect!

I came in for my first visit and consultation for a piercing in April. I left with a Rook piercing and left for a trip to Chicago. It was painful but I expected there to be healing time.

Over the next weeks the pain not only intensified but spread and made the entire top of my ear hurt. When I called to have it removed they told me that those take extra time.

I finally ended up having to have it removed by another shop. After the removal, it made total sense why it wasn't healing. I was told that it wouldn't have mattered what I did, the piercing was so shallow there was no way my ear wasn't going to reject it.

This is the second shop that I've had this issue with and I'm absolutely sure that any further piercings I get will NOT be in Rapid City.

Edit: people can't respond to your questions on their reviews. Second "I'm sorry you feel that way" is a non-apology from your end. It isn't about how I feel, it's about paying money and tipping well and ending up with such a shoddily placed piercing that I have to take it out. "I apologize" is a complete sentence. Offering to correct it would be good business. April was my piercer and I didn't even include that the jewelry she switched out has also fallen out. There was a Tragus in that ear and a conch in the other that have both fallen out. It would be good to take some classes in how to validate your customer's feelings because 'I'm sorry you feel that way" is definitely not it.

Sam did my newest tattoo and I was beyond pleased with the end result. The tattoo had a basic concept to it, but Sam added in aspects that made the tattoo even better than I had originally envisioned! I would highly recommend Samson to anyone debating on an artist and if and when I decide on another tattoo, would happily have him do it.

First tattoo and I’m so glad I went with this place. I got a design with the handwriting of a friend who passed away years ago, and I’m so happy with how the end result was. Felt very comfortable going into it, and was walked through the whole process from start to finish, so I had zero hesitations.

Chase was awesome! Worked me and my friend in for matching spooky tattoos. We love how they turned out. 10/10 would recommend giving the shop a visit. Very friendly and good vibes.

I went in as a walk in and was able to get my tattoo with Samson super quick, he turned getting a tattoo into an experience and a great memory! He did an amazing job, it’s healing nicely, and looks fantastic! Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to get solid work at a great price 👍

Highly recommend Dan! He's done 3 tattoos for me, including my first one. He does great work, makes you feel at home and makes sure what you want is what you get. He is very flexible with appointments and understands when things come up and you need to reschedule. I will be returning for more work by Dan and would recommend him to anyone looking to get inked.

The shop is clean, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Samson worked thru my busy schedule and short time line to get me in. His professionalism and art skills are awesome. My my tat is exactly what I envisioned and more.

Some friends and I wanted a spontaneous small tattoo on a girls trip. We called every tattoo parlor from hill city to rapid city and got turned down by every single place saying no walk ins, booked for 6-8 weeks out, etc. We found Convicted And called, losing hope After being shot down and April answered. Immediately she took care of us and got us in with Samson, the owner. He was amazing. One of us had never got a tattoo and he was superb working with all of us to make us comfortable and squeezing us into a small amount of time that he had available. Also, his shop is extremely clean, well managed and he takes every precaution possible explaining the process to you (even more now since Covid) everyone was very friendly and made us laugh and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. It made our whole trip, and we were pleased that the shop owners were cool with having fun with us. We would recommend this place again and again!
