I went here to get my tongue pierced. First of all, I'm super terrified of needles, so I was really nervous. I walked into Custom Ink & the shop is really nice & clean. It gave off good vibes. The piercer Laura made me very comfortable & was very patient with me. She played some good music for me & let my friends come in and helped calm my nerves. Now I want another one! :D Definitely going back for more. Thanks Laura & the rest of the helpful Custom Ink staff.

Dee did my piercing and Eddiee did my tattoo. They're were both very professional but created a fun and comfortable environment. Dee made the process as painless as it can be, talked me through it, and made sure I was okay. Eddiee was fast, with a light hand and made sure I got what I wanted. He did not rush or pressure me whatsoever. Both work done at an affordable price! This place is worth your time and money. 😊❤

So my sleeve journey started with a cover up tattoo for something I got done in high school. I been been to three different shops and three different artists. Out of all the experiences in San Antonio I can definitely say that John Boy from Custom Ink has been hands down the best artist for black and grey with shading!
He free handed the entire thing and was able to finish up all in one session for me. The price for tattoos in San Antonio are all about reasonable. You have to respect the fact that this is their livelihood and there are shop fees, supplies fees, etc and tattoos are time consuming. I felt he gave me a great deal and helped with the price for my wife's tattoo as well.
An important note about getting your tattoo is knowing what you want and communicating that with the artist. After getting my sleeve done I feel like I can communicate art better now and trust the artist (like I did with John) and he added his style and free-handed what is the best piece on my arm.

Super awesome artists! Johnny boy is my favorite. He has done both of my pieces and he is doing my significant other's sleeve. He has done an amazing job at a very affordable price. We are both extremely happy with our pieces that we have had johnny do so far and definitely plan on continuing to go back!

Yvonne was my artist and she is amazing! I walked in the door with three pictures on my phone and she took them and turned them into my vision!!! I am absolutely in love with my tattoo that she free handed a lot of and the beautiful lines and detail she put into it! The whole shop was friendly and down to earth! Def my first choice from now on! And Yvonne is an amazing artist!!

Divianna AKA D, is amazing!!! I called before hand to ask some questions about a piercing I wanted to take out (I got it done somewhere else) and she was so helpful!!! She was super knowledgeable about everything I asked her! I then went to go see her and she took me in right away! I was really worried about it hurting while taking the piercing i had done out but she made the process so smooth and super quick! She really made my experience enjoyable. A group of friends and I came in at 2:30, all getting tattoos. Two of us got ours done pretty quick, and for good prices, and it's amazing work. Our other friend got the artist MIKE. He sat in the chair for 3 hours before the artist even started, then stopped three times during the piece... A 1-1/2 hour tattoo took him over 5 HOURS! This place has some amazing artists, but don't even bother with Mike!

Love love loved the staff there! Everyone was really sweet and professional they took me in as a walk in and even helped me change my piercing while i waited for my tattoo! Definitely recommend!!
