Professional Comfortable Confidence Boosting Friendly Staff Private Rooms High Quality

Had a piece on my left leg done by Christina and the experience was amazing. Of any artist I have worked with, she was the most professional of them all. I felt 110 percent confident that the piece would come out how I wanted, and man, It was even better. The whole experience was comfortable, lots of conversation and relaxing. I used to be a jean guy, but now I wear shorts everywhere I go. It looks that great and boosted my confidence. That is worth so much more than the price of the tattoo. Friendly staff, private rooms, and AAA grade tattoos. Can't ask for more than that.

Great artist Professional Best quality True artist

After 40 years waiting to get my first tattoo, I can tell you I'm very happy I waited for Jared at Lucky Bamboo to do it for me. Great artist and studio. Professional and the best quality. Was able to achieve my vision perfectly. Jared is a true artist, not just a guy that does tattoos.

Expensive Deposit Policy

Overall I had a great experience and I love the work I had done. My complaint is with the agreement you have to sign. I do feel lucky they let me change artists, but when I wanted to cut my appointments short and have less work done, I was told that I would have to pay for that visit in full, AND forfeit the $650 deposit I left. Also I feel their rates are way too high. I was told they are comparable with cities like LA and Vegas, but Layton Utah is neither of those and the cost of real estate is much lower here.

Since they replied I figured I would add. Yes i signed the agreement and yes I said I felt lucky they let me switch artists. Yes I signed the agreement but since I switched artists their hourly rates went up, which yes I also agreed to.

Let's review their deposit policy: you pay for (x) amount in a deposit. That covers the last session and if needed partially into the second to last session.

In the 4 weeks between my first 2 hour session and the second my income dropped and I asked if my deposit of $650 or 3.25 hours worth of work could be used to cover the second session and make it the last. Which would have totaled $1050 to the artist and shop. They said yes but I would have to pay FULL price for this session and still forfeit the deposit. So let's do the math. $400 + $400 +$650=$1450 is greater than $400+($150 cash +$250 from deposit)+remaining $400 of deposit)= $1200.

My complaint is they would not take the deposit as the payment for the 2nd appointment and been done. Which would only have been a $150 difference from the full agreed amount, and it could have been a $250 tip for the artist. With enough time she could have easily filled the 2 hour slot, with how busy she was when I tried to schedule her to begin with.

Point is be aware that if you have anything come up, they will work with you to an extent, but if they don't feel like it, they will refer to the agreement. Legally they are right and there is no recourse. I'm just hoping that people read this and research before they go in.

Again I love my Tat and Christina was amazing. Mia at the front desk was very friendly and as helpful as she could be as well as the other front desk madame (sorry I'm horrible with names). Everyone and everything is good. Just think they are over priced and the agreement is a legal shield to their policies.

Also note that any negative comment usually gets a harsh reply from the shop (I think the owner).

Please do your research before signing their agreement and read it thoroughly.
