What can I say about Charles and his work that hasn't already been said.. The guy was born with a tat gun in his hand, and I've never seen him do any (even remotely) bad work.
I started going to 21 after I seen Charles' work on a friend, and I don't want anyone else putting any tattoos on me. I fully trust him, and not only his work, but his decision making about design, placement, and in general knowledge of any tattoo.
All this being said about Charles' work, and I have to say that anyone that does work in his shop has surely proven themselves to Charles, and is up to his standards.

Charles is an EXCELLENT artist and has a prize staff! The shop is very clean and very artistic! I have been going to Charlie for 6 years now for all my work. I live 2.5 hours away from his shop and travel only to him to get my tattoos. I live closer to Roanoke than i do to Charleston and i still would rather travel the extra hour and a half to have him do my work! He is very professional and an awesome man all around. I have never been disappointed with any of my work he has done for me. I tell everyone who asks where i get my work done, to go to him!!! His line work is incredible, his coloring is out standing and his personal little twists to every tattoo make them super special! I never plan on switching artists and i have a lot of canvas left so he will have a lot of work ahead of him from me!!!!!!!

Beautiful & Clean new shop in a great location. I wouldn’t let anyone else put a tattoo on me, Charles is extremely talented and was born to be an artist, as a child he could freehand draw anything, this talent has carried into his career as a tattoo artist, his work is amazing. I would highly recommend 21 Tattoo!!

Always amazing customer service! Chris has done all of my tattoos and has perfected each and every one of them. I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience with this shop. I would recommend anyone to go there and trust their body with Chris and Charles. I drive over an hour just to go to this shop! Very professional and clean. Never going anywhere else. Amazing!

Amazing work, Charles has done all mine. Some free handed sketches and they are all amazing, done a ton of work on friends as well. I moved out of state. But I will be driving 6 hours just for tattoos from them!! Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my ink

The artists here are AMAZING!!! They are all extremely talented and super nice. They care about their work and want it to reflect them so they make sure they do an awesome job every time! I only trust two one tattoo to do my tattoos, I would never go anywhere else,
Also, on a side note, any 1 stars and negative comments are not true in any way. It’s all personal attacks and should not reflect the studio in any way. Has nothing to do with the quality they serve!! Shame on people.

Charles did a cover up for me in 2014 and did an amazing job ! Since then he has done 2 other nice size pieces for me as recent as July. Chris also did one which I'm still pleased with. I drive an hour and a half just to have them do my work. I highly recommend them hands down.

Went for the first time last night for Friday the 13th. I like mike do one tattoo. And love it. And then Charles did another. They were amazing. Extremely friendly crew. They laughed and carried on with everyone. I can’t wait to go back and have them do more. You guys rock !!

We came into the shop during a really tough time in our life. I needed a tattoo covered that day. I just couldn't look at in one more day. Charles was leaving for a birthday party that day but when he heard the story he stayed and did my cover up that day! It's not only a great shop but Charlie has a good heart and is a great person. I'll forever be thankful.
