Blue Lotus Tattoo & The Piercing Lounge

We chose Blue Lotus on the West side to get my daughter's 2nd holes on her ears pierced for her 17th birthday. Myke did a wonderful job! The appt started with choosing which jewelry we would like. I was a bit shocked at how expensive the jewelry is, but Myke proceeded to explain that the lowest price items are made of titanium posts and Swarovski crystal gems. We chose a small/medium size gem and the price with piercing is $148.00 for both. Myke was very professional, but also great at making conversation and keeping us laughing, which helped ease my daughter's nerves. I watched during the whole process and I was impressed with how concious he was of hand-washing, changing gloves, using sterile equipment, wearing a mask, etc. Blue Lotus did a great job of communicating what would be required of us beforehand... since my daughter is a minor, I had to be present and sign forms. Although we spent far more than I thought we would, we are very glad we chose Myke at Blue Lotus. My daughter's piercings are perfect and she's very content with the process and the end result. We also bought gauze and disinfecting solution for an additional $12.50 from Blue Lotus, which they had available with 8 week post-piercing care instructions.

I have been to Myke several times over the last 10 or so years and always have a great experience. The entire building is very clean and everyone who works there has been super great to work with. I highly recommend Myke for any piercings - he’s very professional and a down to earth nice guy.

I visited Blue Lotus west side twice over the past few months--Once for an additional lobe piercing with Myke, and once for a nose piercing with Kita (listed on the website as Nikita). Both Myke and Kita were professional and took the time to educate me and answer all my questions. They had a good sense of humor and had a nice rapport, which is great during a situation where my adrenaline is running high from being nervous! I would definitely go back to Blue Lotus before considering any other piercing locations in Madison. :)

I LOVED this place!! It was my first time getting a nose piercing so I was a bit nervous but Nikita walked me through everything. Nikita was extremely professional and answered every question I had about my piercing; She was an amazing help when I picked out my jewelry and even gave me some advice since it was my first time getting a piercing. Nikita is an amazing piercer and I have no doubt that the other piercers are great too. Very friendly, professional, and clean place!!

I came in with an idea of what I wanted. Kita's knowledge was evident as we started talking about my looks, wants and best ways to achieve them. This is not my first mod but she was thorough and treated it as if it were. Her skill was evident through the process and it is abundantly clear Kita is living her dream. Can't wait to talk rings and future work.

I went and got my first tattoo by Ash and it was the best experience I could have asked for. They were super professional and made sure it was just what I was looking for and I was comfortable the whole time. Ash also sent me a follow up email with after care tips so I knew what I was doing and to make sure my tattoo could be in the best condition for as long as possible. I'm already planning my next one and will be back soon! Thanks Ash!!

***2022 update***
So, I cannot recommend Blue Lotus Tattoo and the Piercing Lounge enough. I went in again today for some maintenance on my piercings, and Myke was, as always, amazing. If I ever have to leave Madison, I will be heartbroken because it means leaving Myke behind! If you want a hole in it, he can put it there, and make it look great. I had a trio of flats put in my right ear cartilage a few months, and despite the fact they are in a tight spot, they look perfect and balanced and they healed with ease.

In the end of 2020, I also got my back piece done here. My tattoo artist no longer works for BLT, but the shop was clean, the price was great, and it is a beautiful piece of artwork I am going to love wearing for the rest of my life. I'm going back in a couple weeks to get another piece done, and I am so excited I can barely contain it. I have no doubt that the professionals at BLT will do an amazing job.

Blue Lotus is absolutely the best. Every time I have been in, the staff is courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Myke, my piercer, has done every piercing I've gotten in the last ten years, and every single time it was quick, neat, healed perfectly and been great. He remembers details about me that shock me, and he is just a fantastic professional. I 100% recommend Blue Lotus and the Piercing Lounge.

I got my septum done by Nikita. She was helpful,informative, and kind. It’s my first facial piercing and she guided me throughout the whole process. I wanted the smaller gauge but went with the bigger one cause that’s all they had and I’m definitely glad I went that size. I LOVE IT. Also the shop itself was comfortable and inviting. I will definitely be back again for any future piercings.
