Nice spot - The artist I booked works here. Everybody should find an artisit and book direct, not just walk in to any shop. So, for my experience, this place was solid. Would go to the shop again if an artist I wanted a piece by worked there. I hope so, in the future! - update - I've visited this shop4 four times now and it has never failed to impress

I got my very first tattoo from Ben Ervin in May. He is such a talented artist and fun guy to be around. He rocks black work. It is dark, bold, and the lines are super clean. I have had a few people even ask me if it is real (they thought it was black ink on the surface of my skin). This tattoo will be readable until the day I die.
The coolest part was that as we talked during the session, I think he came to realize the symbolism better and got to know me and my wife better, the tattoo morphed subtly. For example the serval's face became more feminine than the original stencil because it is my wife's favorite animal and symbolizes her. I am not even sure if he did that on purpose but it is awesome. Mark of a great artist.
He now has two long term clients (wife wants one now). I would recommend Broken Clover and specifically Ben to anyone who wants one-of-a-kind tattoos.

Broken Clover was the best tattoo studio I've ever experienced. The artwork done by Johnny Jinx is immaculate. The shop is clean and professional and top of the line. It's not your ordinary walk in tattoo shop. It is beyond comparison.

I came to Broken Clover to get my first tattoo and I was notabley nervous. However I had nothing to worry about because my artist Jinx was AWESOME. He was patient,knew what he was doing, and the tattoo came out great. He's a real artist and I plan on coming back for all of my tattoos in the future!

Broken Clover Tattoo is by far hands down the best tattoo shop in Arizona let alone the West Coast. They are friendly have great music and thats just the atmosphere. They do exsactly what you ask but better and are patient with everyone. There pricing is 2nd to none and they know how to keep people coming back. The Shop is clean neat and sterile and they keep professionalism at its peak.

Absolutely the best tattoo shop in town! Gabe Alvarez is a Beast! I have had a wonderful experience every time I go here. The shop is very clean and the staff are very friendly. I have to say that my experience every time I've walked in the shop has been phenomenal. Not only has Jinx gone above and beyond to getting in touch with me through email or phone, but he personally arranged and managed to be the only one during our consultation. I loved the fact that when I brought in my idea, he was able to take my idea, give me some real thorough guidance and come up with a solid compromise to where he and I createf the most original and best tattoo possible. The tattoo work is second to NONE. Jinx and Gabe are arguably the best tattoo tandem in Tucson. Their work speaks for themselves and they are motivated of getting their work out there to the public. If you've been searching around for tattoo shops in Tucson, stop by the Broken Clover, you will not regret it. I love my tattoo and I definitely plan on making the Broken Clover the destination of where I get all my tattoos whenever I'm in Tucson.

This shop is truly more of an artist studio. A complete and refreshing departure from the "normal" tattoo shop. The artists can often be seen sketching and tracing which lends to the studio vibe. No quick flash all over the place, definitely more original artwork. Johnny has done some work for me as well as my boyfriend and we both love what he has done. You should stop in and see for yourself.
