Broken Clover Tattoo

I went in with my wife because she was interested in some work that she saw on Instagram. The shop looked great and everyone was friendly. While she was chatting with an artist, I showed Molly some ideas I was thinking about, and she was able to help me piece it together very well.

She was quick to get me scheduled and in for my appointment, and did a great job! We didn't finish up completely, so she agreed to finish the last bit of wording and my touch up for free, since I paid full price at the time of my first appointment.

I had emailed her a few weeks later after my tattoo healed to schedule the follow up. She agreed to me coming in Tuesday evening. Tuesday afternoon I got an email saying she meant to schedule me for Wednesday and not Tuesday, even though we clearly agreed to Tuesday. This did not work for me, due to work conflictions. So, we agreed to another appointment on a Saturday afternoon a week later. I drive there, and decide to check my email before I walk in, to which I see an email from Molly saying she was sick and needed to reschedule for the next day. I don't live close to this shop at all, so it's tough to make time to drive out to the shop. So, I just said no thank you to the reschedule.

I know things happen, people get sick, but to me, it seemed like this appointment wasn't as important as the first, since this appointment was going to be free, but when I was paying full price for the first session, she was very accommodating to get me in. That left me kind of disappointed.

Overall it is a very good shop with talented artists, but I was personally left a little unsatisfied after my last interaction.

This shop has a very laid back vibe and excellent artists! Danae did my tattoo, she is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very personable and was great at listening to what I was looking for in the tattoo design. Danae's work is quality and she never rushed even after many hours of tattooing. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Without a doubt, I will definitely be going back to her.

The owner is badass and the shop is great. If you're looking to get tattooed I'd definitely recommend going here!

I've gone to a couple different tattoo artists over the years, and I've had to get a cover up on a couple. Eddie definitely is who I'd recommend. He did my cover ups, and I followed him from one tattoo shop to Broken clover tattoo currently. I love his work and will continue to go to him in the future. His prices are reasonable with the detail and time he takes on making sure you get what you're looking for.

My first-ever tattoo experience was completely great. The tattoo is totally sharp, bright and perfect, and Amy's price for the job was way beyond reasonable given the long hours she spent on it. The atmosphere was also very pleasant; there is good camaraderie and friendliness among the artists and customers, and it was really comfortable to be there.

Such an awesome experience and in love with the final product! Ben did an incredible job, and made my first tattoo experience so seamless and comfortable. Turned out even better than I had originally imagined. Will definitely return for tattoo #2, thanks Ben!

I have to tell you this is by far the best Tattoo Shop! Eddy Pierce killed it, we love how our tattoos turned out. Thank You. This is one of those hidden gems that I hope people are lucky enough to walk into. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. They listen to what you want and make your idea come out just perfect. This place has great customer service, very professional. Eddy Thank you again we can't wait to come back and get more tattoos. If anyone is serious about getting a great tattoo, this should be your first and only shop.

I was referred to Amy Jiao by another happy, well-decorated client and I'm so glad to have found her. I came in with my own design and explained in detail how I wanted just this exact size and mathematical ratio- showing right away that I tend to be be a fussy customer. Amy was totally courteous and easygoing, and stayed faithful to all the important elements of the picture that I had described. When it came to aesthetic choices that I had left a little vague (color shading, curves, line thickness) Amy did a beautiful job of translating my sketch into a refined work of art- she has a great sense of proportion and composition, and superb attention to detail. She works carefully and patiently and can keep up a pleasantly diverting conversation while always maintaining calm concentration on her work. I felt completely comfortable and confident in her skills every step of the way.

I've passed by some tattoo shops with lots of flash on the walls, looking like the kind of places that sell T-shirts on the boardwalk; Broken Clover displays quality artwork that shows pride in workmanship, and makes sitting for a tattoo more like a gallery experience. The room is a professional working studio, with a huge storefront window for lots of natural light, and plenty of clean, clear working space.

Even though my design was relatively simple, and wouldn't have fully challenged the abilities of any of the artists there, I didn't feel like my project was any less important than their own spectacular creations. Everyone there seemed to appreciate and enjoy seeing my idea come to life. I had a great first tattoo experience at Broken Clover, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Amy to collaborate on another piece or to start collecting some of her own beautiful images.

I am in the process of having a large (well large to me) back piece done by Jinx. After we talked about what I wanted and size, I went with his suggestions, and SO GLAD I did! The work is just in outline right now and I am already getting lots of compliments, and that it looks amazing as it is now. He is easy to work with and will tell you what works and what doesn't work for a tattoo. He is one hell of an artist and knows his craft well. I will also point out that he free hand drew the work on my back so it flows with my natural lines. I am a very happy customer and can’t wait to get the color in. I will update this review when it’s done.
As far as the shop itself goes … the atmosphere is very relaxing, everyone is super friendly and eager to talk to you. For me during the work I just wanted to tune out to my music and they were very cool with that. It’s a very professional shop. I will be suggesting it to anyone who wants amazing work done at a very fair price. Ohh on that note, I think that in this instant you get more then you pay for!!!

I have been going to Jinx for all of my tattoos and in seeing him for my most recent tattoo, the tattoo was just as great as the last. At this new shop, Broken Clover, the atmosphere is great, Jinx is still doing exceptional work and is surrounded by artists who share the same passion and skilled work. I believe it is important to look around town to see which shop and artist would fit for your tattoo, but please make it a priority to stop by Broken Clover.

Awesome shop and a gem in Tucson. I’ve been meaning to post a review for sometime now. I’ve gotten my left sleeve and some work on my right arm done by Jinx. If you give him some flexibility on what your wanting to get, you’ll appreciate his artistic spin on it. The shop has other solid artists and a laid back vibe but they keep it professional and 100. I’ll be back to finish up my right sleeve.
