I know what most people would think, it's a tattoo shop, in a mall, near a military base.
This shop doesnt fit that stereotype.
The artists inside are more than a typical tattoo artist. They listen, work with you, and can draw. Man, can they draw. The name might have changed over the years, but the passion and artist remain the same. I've never had a bad experience and always walked away pumped about my new piece. I highly recommend stopping in and seeing portfolios, get a vibe, and just talk to them. You will feel welcomed and warm.
The philosophy I constantly get from the artists is quality tattoos that the everyday person can afford. Tattoos aren't reserved for a specific social class, but every day working people.
Last but not least, I will go ahead and say the most seasoned piercer is there as well, Danny. Dude is hilarious, professional, and been piercing forever. $25 flat, includes jewelry. You cant beat that.
I've been going to Clay at Tengu for 8yrs, and I wouldn't do anything different. If I could recommend them any higher than I could, I would. If you're looking for a badass piece, with legit artist, surrounded by good company, stop in and see these dudes.

Today my niece came here to get a nose piercing. Keep in mind my niece is younger then my daughter. I was turned away stating that my daughter had to be 15. She is 14 and my niece is 13. This place clearly is unprofessional by piercing people and making rules for some and not having the same rules for everyone. I would not recommend this place at all! We show up with Birth Certificates and ID’s for them to not even verify the documents. Go figure that. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

I went to ask about getting a tattoo. It's a pretty simple one. I went in there with a doodle of what i want and the woman told me that the tattoo artists need more creative freedom than that and that they are selective about what they tattoo. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems the customer should be able to get what they want especially since they are paying for it. Basically told me what I want isn't good enough for their artists.

Mateo did an awesome job on my piercing and my brother's piercings. Very professional and clean. This is my second time going here and I would recommend it to anyone wanting any piercings done.

I have never received a tattoo from here but the piercer is absolutely amazing! I got my tongue and my nose done by him! He's super gentle and quick and makes it as painless as possible Everytime. I'll never go anywhere else for piercings I love him so much I highly recommend, and for the price you seriously can't go wrong ❤️

I’m literally obsessed with Tengu Tattoos I been coming here about a year and I’m always walking out with a smile on my face and today my best friend and I went in for piercings and the customer service was as phenomenal…. Danny and Mateo was amazing and Matoe did my Monroe piercing and it put a smile on my face he did such a good job and Danny sized up my gauges to a 4g super painless and quick too.. Tengu tattoo is the only piercing place I trust… Everyone is amazing 🤍
Be aware that if you come in on Saturday it’s gonna be busy but it’s worth it ❤️

I went with my daughter for cartilage piercings. Danial was great. He explained the procedure and care of our piercings. He made us both feel very comfortable. We are so happy with our piercings. My daughter was very anxious and he showed patience and concern for her comfort. I will recommend Tengu to anyone looking for piercings.
