Fallen Owl Tattoo Studio

I wanted a full sleeve done and I wanted to make sure I got a good artist regardless of price. I found an article in which Fallen Owl ranked top 10 in Denver. My favorite tattoos are Japanese and out of all the shops Chris Hamilton came up. I made an appointment with him in which I discussed my ideas, provided him with samples and gave him my deposit. He said he would work on it and he made my first appointment for 2 months later. My first appointment he forgot what we were doing, he went to find the pictures I gave him and he asked me to wait until he came up with a small sample " just to get us started" my other 3 appointments went the same way, he was just winging my sleeve. Tattoos are permanent and depending on how good or bad they are, it dictates if I will be wearing long sleeves or short sleeves for the rest of my life and blame it on a drunken night. I allowed him to do my arm under the condition that he would finish a tattoo I had on my shoulder, he agreed to it and I was content with most of the work he did. On my 5th appointment I didn't get a call to remind me of my appointment. I called and spoke to the girl at the desk, she was rude even when I was willing to provide a printout of my in coming calls to prove I never received that call. I asked to speak to Chris and he said I had lost my deposit and I needed to provide him with more. I said ok and I waited to get a call for my next appointment. I never got one and months late Chris never bother to call me and see what was going on. Chris is good at doing backgrounds but his main pierces are mediocre. He is more interested in riding his bike. Tattooing for him seems to be his source of income but his passion for tattooing doesn't seem to be there. I can't speak in reference to other artists in the shop but it seems to me the reason why the shop is so popular is because of some hats the owner sells. My personal opinion I wouldn't recommend this shop. There are many other options in the Denver area.

Spotless, professionally run shop + artists who are highly skilled & exceptionally creative = an amazing experience & stellar results. You can't go wrong here. Without a doubt, the best shop in Denver.

Got my first tattoo from Paul and it surpassed all expectation. These guys are definitely true artists. He added things I didn't even think possible for a tattoo. Absolutely perfect. Clean shop, extremely professional. Would recommend time and time again to anyone. Never going anywhere else.

Ian does amazing, detailed, bold, colorful tattoo's. What started out as 1 tattoo has turned out to be 3 for myself, 2 for my wife and 1 for my father (his first ever at 65). And my wife and I are not done yet I am working on a sleeve and my wife is also. I recommend him to anybody.

Dino is an amazing artist with an amazing personality to match. He will ask all the right questions to ensure you are getting what you want. Don't hesitate, call and make that appointment. It may be scheduled out a while because he is that good!

Fallen Owl, and Chris Hamilton in particular, has exceeded expectations in his artistic expression, specifically the ability to take a concept I discussed with him and translate that into beautiful pieces which were captured and incorporated into two sleeves. Having spent many hours in his chair over the past 5 years; I would recommend Chris to anyone looking for an artist who can translate your ideas into a stunning and uniquely individual piece.

Fallen Owl Tattoo Studio is freaking awesome. When I went in for my consult, they made an appointment where I could sit down with the artist who was doing my tattoo, Sherley, and talk about likes and dislikes. Other studios I looked at would tell you to drop by and wait around to talk to your artist, but not Fallen Owl. Their service is seriously excellent. Sherley went long on my appointment just to get everything in place to do the tattoo. Food or water? These guys don't need it. They are tattooing machines. Everyone is friendly, including the artists who don't even know who you are. The shop is super clean. As far as artistry goes, they are top notch. I came in with a bunch of tattoos that were sort of like what I wanted to get but not really, and they made the perfect tattoo for me. Detail is exquisite, shading is perfect and they will tell you what works and what doesn't with tattoos but leave the choice up to you. Special props to Sherley who gave me a piece of art I will have forever!

Got brass knuckles with a caption. It was an old school style tattoo that Chris added his own style to. Took just over an hour and looks amazing. You would think that this tattoo took much longer then it did but there's a reason Chris has been tattooing as long as he has. Extremely happy and looking forward to more work in the future by Chris! Excellent work!

it's a bit late on a review, but i got my tattoo by Chris Hamilton a few months back. and it came out awesome. got a Phoenix on my side, and it looks great. he did the whole thing very quick, and the detail looks amazing

Dino was my artist. He is super amazing and did such a wonderful job bringing a tattoo idea I have had for a while to life. Everyone there is super nice and friendly. I will be going back for future tattoos and I recommend this place and Dino highly
