When I moved from Miami to Cape Coral I was a little sad because I was leaving my piercer behind, when I got the itch for a new piercing my husband pointed me in the direction of Gearhead since he knew the owner and had been tattooed by him before. I went in wanting a daith piercing and was introduced to Matt, such a nice gentleman and his hygiene?! SUPERB. I’ve gotten 2 more piercings with him since then and I’m planning on getting more soon. I’ve had to have surgery twice and he is never too busy or hesitant to switch my piercings out for retainers. His prices are fair, his hygiene practices are freaking perfect, and he’s a really nice and funny guy that will make you feel absolutely at ease.

Pleasantly surprised to see the quality I found at Gearhead, here in the Cape. I called last minute on a Tuesday, an hour before closing time, due to a craving for some fresh ink, and Chappy invited me right in, which says a lot to a guy with a ridiculously busy schedule. Pricing is on par with the current market, work and customer service are above average. The storefront is fun, and makes you feel welcome. Chappy was easy to work with, and gavr me exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning for my next tattoo.

IMO Matt is the piercing pro. Very friendly and funny. He has A LOT of experience, He pierced my tragus and I hardly felt anything with his smooth techniques. I'll be back for sure.

I haven't had a tattoo there so I don't know the quality of work, I'm sure it's great. But the business organization side of things disappointed me.
My older sister died last month. My younger sister and I wanted to get matching tattoos in her honor before the memorial which was the following weekend. My normal tattoo shop, Needful Things, recommended Gearhead because they will tattoo someone who's 16 with parental consent (my little sister). So we set up an appt, went in for a consult that day, and everything seemed great. He told me to send him our ideas and there was plenty of slots where they could fit us in in time for it to be healed for the memorial.
I sent him 2 emails with drawings, pictures, and a description of what I wanted. After receiving no response after 2 days, I called and left a voicemail. Never heard back, called again the next day, left another voicemail. Finally called again and someone actually answered! He simply said "Oh yeah, I remember seeing that email. We'll fit you in." And I was like "Okkkk, well let me know, we're running out of time."
NEVER heard back from them. And we didn't get to have tattoos in time for the memorial.
With something as serious as this, I would just be straight up with the customers. If you can't fit them in, just tell them that right off the bat because then my sister and I could've looked for another tattoo shop and had these done in time for her memorial, which was really important to us.

Me and my daughter went to see matt today for our piercings.He is awesome!!!! He was so good at his job.He makes you feel very comfortable and explains everything you need to know..I wouldn't ley anyone but matt pierce me...everyone needs to go see matt.Very professional and clean establishment.He takes his time wirh you and doesnt rush through the procedure.If i could give him more than 5 stars i would!!!
