I was here for business, and decided to stop in. The receptionist was amazingly kind, and worked me in within an hours time. The artist Dom is phenomenal at his craft and extremely easy going. He absolutely caters to his customers, and is extremely reliable in asking him for a recommendation. I ended up getting a ~7 inch long vine gap filler piece that lasted about 2 hours.
Was so pleased i put down a deposit and came back the next day for my appointment with him. I Sat through another 5 hours and couldn't be any more excited in the result (unfortunately i haven't taken pictures from that session yet).
Dom is extremely good at working with the customer, has a phenomenal eye for color palettes, and is a genuine pleasant artist to work with.
The prices are extremely reasonable (and even cheaper than all of the tattoos I've gotten in the southern and mid western portion of the continental USA, even though their business is on the biggest resort in Waikiki , where prices on anything are -absolutely- insane).
Through 7 hours of being in the shop over the last 2 days, i saw dozens of customers absolutely loving the work they had done by the various artists here. I didn't witness a single person being anything short of ecstatic for the tattoos they received.
An absolutely phenomenal shop with excellent artists and customer service. Would highly recommend visiting this shop to anyone interested in getting some ink in Oahu.

I am more than pleased with my experience at Aloha Tattoo Waikiki. I wanted a memory of my time on Oahu. I read all the reviews, checked out their social media, talked with their phenomenal receptionist, and even got to discuss my tattoo idea with one of the artists Emily who sadly was off work on the day I needed to book. After speaking with her I felt confident in my decision to pay the non-refundable fee to make a reservation for a tattoo. I did not specify which artist I wanted because I liked all of the work I had viewed on social media. Yes, I knew the tattoo was going to cost more than a shop on the mainland, but I was there for a memory of the beautiful island knowing that EVERYTHING is very expensive in Waikiki, and I know that I might not like what is sketched out for me initially, but I also knew that I would be able to advocate for myself and get what I was looking for. This shop was excellent with communication, customer service, and artistry. Top-notch experience the whole way. I am writing this review 6 days after my tattoo session and love how it looks. My artist was Mr. T and he was more than amazing at creating something beautiful on my body his skill is A+.

Tim is an amazing owner, he made sure to get me exactly what i wanted and before i even got to see the design he had me set up. I highly recommend them. In and out with my design in an hour.

My wife and I booked at the same time. She has many tattoos, and this was my first. Very accommodating and the price was similar to artists at home. Appreciated the consideration of the artist in walking me through the process and giving me every opportunity to look jump ship or move ahead as I was deeply nervous. I went ahead and love the tattoo โ great overall experience! And my wife is super happy with hers as well. It was much bigger and more intricate.

Ian and the rest of the artists took great care of our family. We were 6 people with some ofnus getting 2 tattoos. Very clean and professional. We made an appointment using their website, there was a long wait for walk ins.

Edit (Since Iโm unable to respond to your response): I understand they know what their work is worth, and I respect that. When we spoke about the cost they said it comes from paying for overhead. I just donโt think that the price is fair for the work. Also, may I ask what the artist meant when they say the price is based on being in a rich area? Just because we were at the Hilton does not mean we are rich. I just want other tourist to understand that if you donโt know the price before hand- they may not want to waste money. I think more transparency here is key. - Original: I agree with one of the other reviews. 100% a tourist trap, artist even confirmed that by letting us know that the prices are high since we are in a rich area. We made a deposit of $100 for 2- 45 minute sessions for 5pm, showed up at 4:30 with references of what we wanted. We waited outside of the shop until 5:35pm (half hour after our appointment, mind you) for them to say a simple line work design would cost $300 and $500 for a simple compass with landscape. They also had issues of not wanting to add coordinates because they had to be โpreciseโ lol. Honestly, wish I would have read the reviews because we received some of the most unprofessional and dishonest service ever.

This place is amazing!! A little more expensive than some but they deserve to charge that much. Lydia (I hope I am spelling her name right) was so kind and helpful. She worked with me and gave me the best piercings I have had. I was a little nervous and she helped me through the nerves and was very personable. I appreciated her so much and everyone else I met there was nice. I highly recommend this place!

This place was amazing.I got my first tattoo here and I could not have asked for a better experience. The artist that helped me was very kind and definitely made it a very comfortable environment. She took her time and the tattoo came out great! I would use this business again. Very friendly staff and artists.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting multiple tattoos from this shop last night. My aunt was with me and she got a great tattoo from Ian-he was friendly and warm and really listened to her. Emily did two smaller tattoos for me-I had little pain, she was so calm and kind and the result looks fantastic. Dom did a larger piece on my back, per my request (based on reviews and his IG: tattooed_waves1) and I am obsessed with the work he did!!! He listened to me, the art he created is better than what I brought him, and he made the process seamless. The work from this shop is worth every dollar I paid and more. When it comes to tattoos, quality is the MOST important priority to me and Aloha Tattoo delivered.

Keep in mind I'm writing this review having a total of 12 tattoos all done by professionals. I stepped in the first day of my stay and spoke to the artist coordinator. I asked her and another tattoo artist about their appointment process. They we're both very pleasant and cordially answered my questions. They highly recommended to view their website for individual artists' portfolios and to book my appointment. The coordinator emphasized they had 3 locations in Honolulu and stated they rotated their artists between the shops. She assured me after viewing the online portfolios I could schedule the artist I preferred to that specific shop. I thanked her for her time and left believing I was good to go. After browsing their website I decided on booking an appointment with Gabi. However after reading some previous reviews regarding appointment delays and how there can be a cash grab kind of environment I decided it would be best to book the appointment in person the next day. This is when it all went downhill. The coordinator wasn't there and instead was vaguely acknowledged by a young individual. She may have said hello but at least gave me split second eye contact (kind of ironic). I let her know I wanted to book an appointment with Gabi, she let me know Gabi didn't work at that location but was quick to ask for a deposit either way. I asked which artist we're available and this seemed to annoy her. Instead of answering my question she simply got up and walked to the back. A tattoo artist came out and reiterated what the first person told me, but was quick to point out for a business card standard design it would cost $250. I asked for a 3rd time which artists worked at that location, she rolled her eyes and made it apparent it would be a guessing game on who'd I'd get. This interaction gave some credit to the previous negative reviews. I thanked them for their time like I did the initial coordinator I spoke to and walked out.
