If I could give this place NO stars I would. Shannon is very disrespectful and made me feel so unwelcome I decided against even getting the tattoo. It was a finger tattoo about 3 inches max, when we first discussed it she had told me it would be about 70-75$ MAX, then when I went in again to get it done, she made it 150$. It was absolutely riddiculous, I have seen some of the work she's done, and the patients told me she either went to slow or to fast and way to deep. DO NOT GO HERE. All of the other comments and rates are her PERAONAL friends! She didn't even say hi to me for goodness sake!

I did a bit of research before deciding to make the 6 hour drive from Portland to Lewiston with my minor child, and Skin Deep came out on top. Still, I was a little freaked out, not having any experience with tattoos, and relenting to allow my 16 year old daughter to have one when I know so little about the process?? That uneasiness did not last long. Shannon and her family put us at ease immediately with their friendly and caring demeanor, the shop was absolutely spotless, and filled with Shannon's beautiful artwork. I swear she went through an entire box of gloves just during the preparation! During the process Shannon's soothing voice and gentle manner helped my daughter remain calm and keep from flinching, and the end result was perfection - even better than the picture we came in with. Very grateful to all of them for the positively wonderful experience!

I got my cartilage and my belly button pierced at this shop on my birthday. The staff was nice, the piercing process was quick and the environment was clean, I recommend getting piercings here

I went here to get my first tattoo of a nautical star on my hip. Shannon was very nice and was very helpful. The tattoo was a little expensive but for the service and cleanliness of the shop I did not mind and the tattoo came out perfectly. I am biding my time until I can come in again to either get a piercing or another tattoo. I would definitely tell people to look up Skin Deep Design on facebook and take a look at the photos. What you see is what you get. I highly recommend going to Shannon. However, when I first walked in it creeped me out because of the stainless steel almost punk look of the place but it is not as bad as I thought, I was mostly nervous about getting my tattoo. Nonetheless, she is clean and helps you to get the tattoo you want for a decent price.

What seems to be a fairly normal tattoo parlor turned out to be this years biggest grinch, originally quoting me 50$ they ended up taking three hours to do a piece that should have been done in 45 minutes ( very basic 3'X3' line drawing) and charged me 200$ . All so they could stuff their coffers this Christmas season. Well I hope it was worth it because i am never going to this parlor again and strongly recommend you look into them more before making your appointment. Ps. I watched the artist go as slow as possible and regularly stop and make small talk with the people around her.
