Was initially happy with my tattoo and with the cleanliness of the shop itself. However as time went on my tattoo has not aged well with a part of it just looking cheaply done and other parts being prorated and scarring on my skin. I have asked multiple friends with tattoos and other tattoo shops about their aftercare and all told me the opposite of what I was told here. On top of that, communication was awful with this place and when I tried to get my free touch up within a year that they offer I was essentially ghosted. I have also asked other shops what they would have charged for my tattoo and what friends who got tattoos of the same size payed and I feel I payed too much. Initially did not have these complaints but it has not aged well even with me doing the exact after care and care with time that was given to me.

Highly recommend. Honest, clean, and thorough. Only place I will go to — I have referred family members and friends, after I’ve been asked ‘who I go to.’ They stand by that as well and have been back several times. Many single tattoos and full pieces I’ve had done here, beautifully finished.

I got a piece done today by Sam and she was the best! Super patient and such an outgoing artist! The shop is VERY well kept, and their art is amazing. This is the only shop I'd EVER recommend!
There seem to be quite a few negative reviews on here about Samantha, however the accounts all only have 1 review, and that is against her. Clearly a smear campaign. First piece I've had done by her and she was clean, professional, and made sure I was happy with my art. She is a 10/10 artist, as is Jake. Blackwater is deserving of their 5/5 reviews all day!!!

I have gotten two tattoos from Jake now he’s the only one so far to ink my skin and it not over time get thick or look bad . I’ve had my link for one and two years now they look as a good as the heal date .

Amazing job done. First tattoo ever I have and did it turn out amazing and well done. Worked with what design I had in mind and got me in and out quickly. I will always come back here for my Tattoos. Staff was amazing and helped me with what I needed done. Jake Koenig was my artist and did a great job with my tattoo and made me very comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Blackwater 13 is the best tattoo shop I've been to! It's always such a clean, and professional environment! Jake, the owner, is such a friendly and very talented artist. He has been doing amazing tattoos for years and his reputation should not be ruined over one artists actions and dishonesty. Give the man a chance to handle his employee. He just became aware of the situation after most of you did, he doesn't even have Tik Tok! He cares about his work and his customers & would never allow this type of behavior, so I know this will be handled!

BlackWater13 is the only place I will go to get my tattoo work done, I live in Florida currently but here on vacation and Samantha is the first person I called to get my newest tattoo work done. She is very professional and just all around a fun person. Her work is impeccable and the environment is friendly and clean. You can’t go wrong with Blackwater 13. did a walk in to a previous shop and the anniversary of this horrible tattoo I have is coming up all thanks to one of the untalented tattoo artists now working here. Even after confronting him on Facebook he didn't offer to fix it, refund me...nothing. I recommend truly checking out artists work and getting a second opinion from friend. Just because they work in a shop doesn't mean they're good.

This shop is very clean, courteous and professional, please do not let the actions of one artist ruin it for the whole shop and reputation, her actions and what she posts do not represent or speak for the whole shop. It will be handled. this is one of if not the best shop in town, great quality and professional work, so again please do not disregard the shop. There are bad apples on every tree.
