I lost my big sister back in July. I knew I wanted her signature on my wrist. I actually cried when Eli was done. It is exactly what I pictured in my head and he was able to do it in about 5 minutes. I highly recommend them. They take your health and safety seriously. I will be booking an appointment when I’m ready for my next tattoo for sure! Thank you Eli! I hope I spelled your name right.

I had the worst tattoo experience of my life today. I found Krist Karloff on Instagram and loved his watercolor style as soon as I saw it, so I set up an appointment with him over a month ago, describing exactly the piece I wanted tattooed in his questionnaire he sends out. It was going to be a large piece that I expected to take about 6-8 hours if not more. When I booked I assumed we were all on the same page that it would be a full day session.

I live in Tennessee, so I had to take off work and plan a weekend trip up to Lafayette. A few hours before my appointment, I got a call from Krist’s assistant telling me I would not be able to get my entire piece finished today because only a half day had been scheduled and that I could either reschedule for a full day in a few months or come in and discuss the piece. Apparently they decided I only wanted to schedule a half day because of the budget I entered in his questionnaire. This was just a lack of communication, but it should’ve been clearly communicated in the booking process what I was being scheduled for, instead of confirming a day into my weekend trip and a few hours before my appointment. Anyway I figured I’d cut my losses and try to get half the piece or so done since I already paid my deposit and booked two Airbnb’s to stay at for the weekend.

Got to the shop at 3, and Krist had no sketch or design ready for the piece I described in my emails months before. 4 o’clock rolls around and he comes out to show me a design that didn’t consider anything I described in my emails. I tried to explain it to him on the spot, and he went back to his office. 4:45 he comes back out with almost the same exact design as 45 minutes ago, still disregarding what I actually wanted. Almost 2 hours into my 4 hour session and I’m still waiting in the lobby. I decided not to move forward with a piece he clearly didn’t want to do. I asked for my deposit back since all of the factors that contributed to me not getting the tattoo were out of my control. “I don’t refund deposits” is all he had to say.

The shop was extremely clean and nice inside though, and they played some great music, but that’s about all the good I have to say about Evil Genius.

Excellent work by Flip! Comfortable atmosphere, professional personnel, trendy but not obnoxious, and easy to locate. Flip did amazing work and was happy to adjust the design exactly the way I wanted it.
The pic is from the day I got it so the clear adhesive bandage is on. It's difficult to tell but the words are aligned with scars on my wrist. It's been a week and it's healing wonderfully.

Krist was my artist. He was an hour late to my consultation, and almost 2 hours late for my tattoo, and rescheduled finishing my tattoo twice before I gave up on him. He is a great artist but not worth the headache he will give you.

So far I've had a piercing and a back piece done here, and both times it's gone as smoothly as possible. I came in with a rough idea of what I wanted, and Davion was extremely helpful. He stayed true to the concept I wanted, adding his own flair to fit his style, and it turned out great! I can't wait to have more work done here. Extremely fair pricing for the quality of work done here.

Absolutely the worst customer service and tattoo shop I have been to in my 20 years of getting tattoos. I would not recommend. I never got my deposit back for a unfinished messed up tattoo. The owner had an attitude that his time was more valuable than mine. He never communicated with me even though I called several times to talk to him about my tattoo. It was his artist that messed up my tattoo and the owner Krist took over because of it then Krist didn't even follow through. The art work is sub-par for the amount you pay. Again customer service was extremely poor. The scheduling is the worst I have ever dealt with. Constantly came up with excuses as to why they forgot I was scheduled, they scheduled construction during my appt so they canceled, etc. KRIST was extremely unprofessional. He wouldn't take responsibility for his employees or his work. Krist even left me laying on the table while he went to talk to some guy outside.. for a whole hour. Btw he charged me for that time.

Shop is very welcoming and cozy. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Very happy with my tattoo from Eli. No complaints!

I went here for my tattoo and my artist Eli was amazing! He was very professional, gave me some breaks to help me along and told me some good ideas for my next one. I will definitely be back to get more tattoos in the future!

I made a spur of the moment decision to get a tattoo done, and they accommodated me very well. The artist took my original idea, and made it into something way better than I had previously envisioned! They were nice and professional when I had reached the end of my pain endurance, which was reassuring to me. Would recommend to any friend!

I just got a daith piercing this afternoon. Not sure if it will help my migraines (not that I wouldn't mind a placebo effect), but at least I have a pretty piercing! It was super busy with a tattoo special going on, but they got me right in, only had to wait a few minutes. Mike took me back to the piercing room, he was totally awesome, just chatted the whole time. The piercing itself was one of the lesser painful ones I have experienced, and that went through cartilage. He took great care to clean it, and answer any questions I had, and told me not to hesitate to call if I have more questions. Amazing shop, super friendly, efficient, but thorough. Definitely would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a piercing done(or even a tattoo, if their tats are as good quality as their piercing)
