Just received another work of art on my eventual sleeve. Gerrit is a true professional and has created an atmosphere of relaxation for clients and onlookers. My tattoo and my brother's turned out amazing as usual. The detail, the design, the realism, all are perfect. Gerrit is very accommodating and runs a beautiful shop, as well, attracts talented tattoo artists to his collective. The stable of talent at this gallery is outstanding.

I got my first tattoo at Firefly with Dina Verplank! We initially met for a consultation where we discussed the concept and she had me send images for her to reference. When she sent me her sketch it was like she was in my brain and created what I could not put into words! Not only did I get an amazing tattoo, but she also gave me the sketch which I plan on framing in my house:) Her creativity is inspiring and I really feel like I left with a top notch, one of a kind piece of art. She immediately put me at ease and her professionalism left me with no doubt that I was in good hands. I highly recommend Firefly Tattoo and can't wait to go back.

Dina is excellent. I was really nervous about the no call, just communicate through email thing but I had to let it go. She designed a great piece for me and made me feel very comfortable. She has a GREAT personality and is so nice. She absolutely rocks. She's an artist in every sense of the word. I plan to go back again. Definitely. Two thumbs up. lol

I just completed a large back coverup with Laura, She is amazing, the cover is gorgeous, I get tons of compliments on it. The studio has a much more relaxing and inviting atmosphere than any tattoo establishment I've ever been to. I can't wait to go back and get more work done!

I never submit reviews, but after my experience with Gerrit and Firefly Tattoo, I just have to submit one. I came to Gerrit with a horror story of a bad tattoo (first tattoo of all things too). Original tattoo from a tattoo party, NOT by Gerrit, was horribly painful, bled for 2 weeks, scarred, 45 minutes of hell and regret, and on and on and on.... Came to Gerrit 3 months later to get it fixed. He turned this horrible/shameful thing into an absolute awesome realistic piece of artwork. 3 hours in his chair was extremely less painful, no bleeding AT ALL, just an outstanding wonderful job. The tattoo was a tribute to my kids and I am so relieved and proud to show it to my kids it is great. I couldn't be happier. They smiled so big seeing it look "realistic" that it made me proud to show it to them. Don't make my original mistake and rush into a tattoo with a guy that said he's been doing it for 25 years, Gerrit's talent at making a tattoo realistic and attention to detail is INCREDIBLE and so worth the wait. You get what you pay for and it was worth every penny and more. The shop was very professional, quiet, relaxing, non-disruptive. It resembles nothing of the seedy tattoo shops around town. I enjoyed every minute being there to hang out and get tattoo'ed. I could speak volumes around this place, but not to bore everyone, simply put, it was well worth the wait and I will NEVER go to anyone else put Firefly Tattoo and Gerrit for a realistic tattoo. Can't wait to figure out what I want next! Thank you so much Gerrit!
