I do not recommend this place. Was quoted a price for a simple tattoo with a box around it. Then was asked for the money up front (rather unusual, but I figured they were on Canal St. and were confident in their skills to that level). Huge mistake. The actual tattoo artist, Kyle, walked back visibly offended at the quote I was given and stated that it would cost an extra $100. Because I care about my body and didn't want to have someone visibly bothered to work on a tattoo on my back, and felt that they misquoted and were overcharging me, I declined. They then refused to refund me since the cash I paid was "dropped in the safe." After some wrangling, I was told by Kyle to return at 6 pm that same day and the manager, a person I never met called Ginger, would be there to handle the resolution. Went back at 6 pm. No Ginger, no refund. A very nice man took my information for Ginger to call or contact me. Never heard from her or anyone else at the shop. So, never got my money back and my birthday tattoo never happened. Stay clear of this shop, unless you have to get your tattoo on Canal St in the NO.

Dropped in for 2 walk-ins, Kai was super helpful and Stephen the artist did such awesome work, we got little flash pieces and the shading he did made them really come to life, love the new addition!

They took walkins on a Friday night which was cool. Artist seemed cool. I wanted two bands on my forearm and was quoted 840 bucks. Maybe I'm a tight wad but ive gotten larger, more complicated tattoos for much cheaper. Place is just not for me I guess.

I have thousands of dollars worth of tattoos on my body from the last 28 years of my life. I have never in that time received such a low quality tattoo that looks like it was tattooed with disappearing ink. As it's healing/disappearing it looks more like I was scared than tattooed. This is an extremely basic tattoo that is just lettering that I paid more for that the other tattoo pictured that is over 2 years old and I have treated and healed the exact same way as this one. With over 20 tattoos on my body I know exactly how my skin heals and how well I hold ink this is just basic negligence and hopefully this artist worst tattoo of their life cause I would absolutely hate to think that this person is out there charging outlandish prices for such botched work. If I were the owner of this shop I would hope that they would reevaluate who they allow to work there.

Went to get some work done with my wife. We arrived at 7:40, another couple with a 7 o'clock appointment was still sitting waiting looking uncertain. $100 minimum sign was on the door but that minimum increased quickly once taking to the artist and he didn't come off as capable saying he couldn't do much detail. We went to a different location where we ran into the couple whom had the 7 o'clock appointment where we both got quality work to a fair price. Glad we left.

I happened upon Big Easy Tattoo during my first visit to New Orleans and I'm so glad I did!! If you go here, ask for Stephen. He was my artist and he was a pleasure to work with. He was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I am super happy with my forever souvenir!!

I don't know who met us at the door but he was extremely rude. The man didn't say anything to us till we about walked through the shop door. My husband and I told him the tattoo we wanted to get for our 20th wedding anniversary, he looked at us, laughed and said that's it. Told us $120 each for the one word tattoo. We left.
