professional recommend

On my recent vacation I wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate my trip and my love for one of my favorite cities. I called to ask if they take walk-ins for flash tattoos and was informed they are first come/first serve. I got there mid-afternoon and had about an hour wait (which to me is very reasonable for a walk-in). My artist was Joel, and he customized my design to fit the area of my body I wanted it on best and ensured that we had great placement. Joel was great to work with and I love the finished product! Would highly recommend for those wanting a quick, professional tattoo experience!

Friendly Staff Impressive Work Touristy Location Clean Environment Talented Artists

Loved the staff. Was surprised to be able to get in with little notice AND to be impressed with their work. Was a little pricey for what we got compared to our local prices with reputable artists. But I expect that had a lot to do with the touristy location. The place was clean, and the artists were kind and talented.

Great Service Wonderful Atmosphere

My sister and I were walk-ins. We showed them what we wanted. Joshua was great during both tattoos. Wonderful atmosphere. Will be returning to get another when I visit again.

Rude Staff Lack of Creativity Unprofessional

I never leave reviews, but felt compelled after my visit today. Let me start by saying that every girl we interacted with at the counter was really just rude. My friend and I are nice people and super easy to please and I felt that even just asking the bare minimum in questions was annoying to them. Secondly, the tattoo artist did do what I asked and was nice, but I felt there was a complete lack of creativity and that I was “just another client”. My tattoo requests were pretty simple and I felt he was annoyed just from asking to make one design smaller. Thirdly, my friend had piercings done and Heather was AWESOME. She was the ONLY person that we felt engaged with us and cared about the job she did. The worst part was my friend was called later that night (hours after leaving) to be told she was undercharged and that she owed more money. This was after paying in full and tipping prior to leaving the studio. I feel it’s incredibly unprofessional to do this ($40 difference). She paid the difference we owed in hopes it wouldn’t impact Heather, but still feel this was just a poor way to handle this situation. Overall, my friend and I are incredibly disappointed in our experience here, and just because we didn’t get massive tattoos and piercings, I felt we were treated with minimal care and respect as paying customers. I would never recommend to anyone (I’m a local) and would never go back.

Talented Artist Highly Recommended

Rev Marc is hands down the best artist! I’ve come from Las Vegas to have him specifically do 3 of my tattoos. Super professional and personable and just amazing at his work. Highly recommend!

Expensive Communication Issues

Planning a trip to New Orleans months in advance I came across this tattoo studio. I did look at reviews, they seemed pretty positive. So I book 2 appointments. Kallie got back to me pretty quickly & I paid both our nonrefundable $85 for each deposit. Getting my friends tattoo discussion idea was easy, hers was a verse of a poem. Mine, a beluga whale seemed to pose them some problems. They called me several times to let me know my whale couldn’t be just pure white. I understood that, having 60+ tattoos & being dark completed, I got it. On the 3rd call about it I finally said I understand that it will not be a pure white whale, I’m the type of person who can comprehend that I’m not getting a pure white whale. There were many emails between us as well. Discussing the time, the ideas, what we wanted. As our st Patrick’s day appointment got closer, I asked for a quote & confirmation on our appointments. I didn’t get a reply about that until I asked the second time a week later. For my friends one verse of the poem, $400-500. For my beluga whale, $200-300. Not saying that’s outrageous! Or it wasn’t worth it! No Im saying I didn’t expect to pay that much for the 3-3 1/2 tall tattoo. It bothered me yes that amount. So I decided to go with just the outline of the beluga whale, my friend two words. That’s when Helen emailed me trying to educate me on how different artist charge different in different states, & how different artist do this and that to achieve a good tattoo. Like I haven’t been to at least 10 states where I’ve gotten a tattoo at each time & like I’m not covered in tattoos. I couldn’t get my deposit back & at that point I was becoming very uncomfortable on how they were treating us like we were getting our first tattoo. I just wanted to get that whale done, with a positive vibe and just leave. Then we had to run really late to appointments due to horrible weather, car accident, & a fellow traveler leaving her phone & purse on shuttle. I really appreciated how they still let us slide by on being late. They didn’t have to do that. Made me forgive them for thinking negatively about the email & call interactions, a little. But I still didn’t have enough cash to put color on whale. I do feel like they thought I didn’t know what I was talking about or had little experience with tattoos. When I have over a 100, I think. When they saw me I surely hope they understood that they lost money because they tried to rip me off. I paid the $85 deposit, & the tattoo itself was $65. My artist was Scott. Scott was great.

Amazing Artist Great Experience Highly Recommended

Walked in and was able to schedule an appointment for later the same day. Had the most amazing artist, Erica, who was able to take our original design and make it better. She was sweet, personable and gentle. Would highly recommend her and the studio again. Her fine line work was perfect!

Rude Service Unprofessional Bad Tattoo Sloppy Job

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT come here for a tattoo. The service was RUDE and unprofessional. That’s not even the worst part. The tattoo that my sister and I had done is awful. The man who tattooed us (I dare not call him an artist) pressed way too hard on our tats leaving them raised above our skin, which is not how they’re supposed to be. Also, just a sloppy job in general. I wish I could give 0 stars. Please go somewhere else
