I came in to get my first tattoo here from Amber after a recommendation by some friends. She was SO friendly, the atmosphere of the shop was AWESOME and my tat came out AMAZING. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Kiel doesn’t meet the standards for tattooing he sets the standards. Very clean, professional studio with some outstanding work. Started a sleeve a while back and couldn’t be happier with how it’s going so far. Highly recommend!!

I was in Maine for work and decided last minute to get a tattoo with friend who was working with me. I called the shop and was able to speak with Kiel and explain to him what we were wanting. He told us to come in and he would be able to do both of our tattoos. When we walked in he had already looked up ideas and had options ready to go for us. He was extremely professional and super chill. His studio had such a good vibe and was very, very clean. Once I was in the chair I was able to see how he set up and kept his work station. Everything was sterile and organized. Once he was done with my tattoo he asked me to look at and make sure it was what I wanted and if there was anything I wanted him to do before he finished. That was a first for me. He made sure to tell me that he stood by his work and guaranteed that it would be exactly what I wanted. Looking at it, his line work was beautiful. He was very meticulous in going over the lines to make sure everything was filled in and even. Pricing wise, this place was also a huge plus. He had a $50 minimum and that's what I was charged even though I was expecting more. Prior to leaving he made sure to explain all the hygiene directions and told us once he would do touch ups if we needed them. I will be honest, I currently live roughly 5 hours away and I would be willing to drive up here just to go back to his shop. From the moment we talked on the phone to the moment I walked out of the shop he was professional, patient, and had the best vibe. Literally one of the best tattoo experiences I've had. He,as an artist and person, is worth every penny. I can't wait to come back and get more work done by him.

I've gotten two tattoos from Kiel now, both turned out excellent! He did a great job at turning my bad descriptions of what I wanted into an awesome art piece- I will definitely be returning again.

Kiel is also an outstanding artist who works with you to take the idea you have in your head and create a beautiful custom piece of artwork for you to last a lifetime. Ravens Thorn is a fantastic studio full of talented professional artists with an eye on industry advances and innovation. My fiancé and I stopped in to get some spontaneous work during our first trip to Maine. We came in just after opening and we’re greeted by Kiel, the shop owner. The vibe inside of the shop is welcoming and collaborative, all of the artists were extremely friendly and engaging. We have been tattooed in several states and countries around the world and this shop was a stand out experience. If you are in Maine and want some ink, I highly recommend this shop!

What an amazing experience @ravensthorntattoo. Kiel was awesome. He took us in at the last minute. This was a tattoo in honor of our mother/grandmother and he made this a very special experience. Our family is all from far away and I WILL DEFINITELY travel back to have further ink from this amazing artist!

My daughter has a few tattoos that were done by Joe..they look great!.So when it came for us to get matching tattoos for my daughter’s 21st birthday, that’s who we went to see… The space was clean, nice music, immediately felt comfortable and at ease..Our tattoos look amazing.. thanks again 😊
