"Black Coffin Tattoo is a custom Tattoo and piercing shop in St. Paul on University Avenue and HWY 280. Our tattoo studio is located about a mile and a half West of the U of M TCF Bank Stadium. We are conveniently accessible via the Green Line light rail, right between the Westgate Station and Raymond Ave. Station, making us a convenient location from all major Twin Cities college campuses. This is the best tattoo place in the twin cities. They have such a wide variety of artists that they are able to offer many different styles. Garrett is thoughtful and kind and really compassionate with all of his clients and his employees reflect those values as well. I really love collecting my tattoos here and also recently was pierced by Tom after over 10 years of not getting any piercings. I was so nervous but he was so professional and calm is made me feel safe and taken care of.

My original artist that did my second tattoo, opened this shop. He's incredible at black and gray. He's done the majority of my tattoos even though they aren't his type. Garrett is amazing. He has come so far on his tattooing career and done incredibly well. The artists he hires always amaze me. He has a keen eye for art and artists that thrive.
Down side parallel parking. Being from not the city I hate parallel parking but I'll put up with it for this tattoo shop always.

I went to go and get my nose pierced here yesterday and it was so an amazing experience. It was nice and calm and the staff was so sweet and professional. When my nose heals up I’ll be back to get the other side pierced and I’ll probably come back to get my belly button done as well, who am I kidding actually I for sure will come back to them for my belly button pierced.
