"Black Coffin Tattoo is a custom Tattoo and piercing shop in St. Paul on University Avenue and HWY 280. Our tattoo studio is located about a mile and a half West of the U of M TCF Bank Stadium. We are conveniently accessible via the Green Line light rail, right between the Westgate Station and Raymond Ave. Station, making us a convenient location from all major Twin Cities college campuses. I submitted a request over 2 months ago. Never heard back. I called a month later and was told that the artist I was interested in was reopening his books and that I should expect to hear back soon. That was a month ago and I never heard back.
If an artist is not open to taking more people, at least post that on the website and maybe send a short note back explaining as such.

I have been going to jared for my tattoos for some years now and he is absolutely amazing. The vicinity is very spacious so it makes it covid friendly. All the staff that I have encountered here has been super friendly and helpful. If you want watercolor tattoo definitely go to jared, hes a master of his craft.

Classy place! The artists are friendly, honest, and talented. Some are new, some are experienced, but all have their own area of expertise. Cody Rose did a lizard behind my ear (on the spot artwork, I LOVE it!) and is working on a larger piece for me. She's newer, but that didn't matter or show in her work - go see her, she is worthy of more skin real estate!

I got a tattoo done by John back in August and I realized that I never left a review! Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. Covid-19 guidelines were followed appropriately and I felt very comfortable while getting my first tattoos.

John Erickson and Thomas White saved the day on my nieces 18th birthday. Her artist with whom she had an appointment booked for months prior refused to complete her tattoo. We called Black Coffin and was immediately put at ease. The professionalism and kindness was top notch! They were patient and explained everything in detail to my niece. They turned a great disappointment into a memorable experience where she received her first tattoo and body piercing! We will be back!
