WHERE HAS THIS SHOP BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!
From the moment I walked in for my consultation appointment, I was in love with the overall ambience of the shop; from the art on the walls and display shelves, the plants in the front window, and the eclectic-yet-accessible music playlist, I knew i was in a unique place.
Jessi, the artist I was paired up with, knocked my design out of the park. To be fair, I'm pretty easy-going with designs, (though most of it is due to my own accursed indecision - the bane of the Gemini, I swear!), and she still created something more incredible than I could have imagined! The color saturation and shading are just so beautiful - I can't wait to see it all healed up! I'm honored to have something so beautiful on my skin to memorialize my mom, brother, and sister. I know if they could see it, they'd love it too.
Like I said, the shop atmosphere was absolutely lovely, and I just love that there was tons of cross-chatter and laughter between all of the artists and clients, and occasional check-ins from the other artists to see how my "loonlets" were coming along. It definitely felt like being among a group of friends who cared, rather than an interloper in "the cool kids' club." It's such a welcome change from most of the questionable, sketchy, and/or male-dominated shops of my youth.
In my 22 years of getting tattooed, it's wonderful to see how things have changed for the better regarding women in tattooing - my four most recent pieces, spanning the last decade, have all been done by women, and I don't think that's going to change for any future pieces.
Tl;dr: It's just a totally different, wonderful vibe at The Tattooed Lady, and I'm here for it.

Super great environment, very welcoming for everyone. I had a great overall experience. It definitely feels more put together than other shops I have been to. Especially the pre and post care info you get before the appointment.

I got two tattoos by Bryce and they did an amazing job! I canโt wait until I can have them give me more tattoos. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. Every artist is so so talented!

I received two finger tattoos from Bryce on February 18th. Not even A WEEK LATER half the tattoo is gone..... in both areas!!! I have 11 FINGER TATTOOS, AND NEVER EVER had to get any retouched!!! My oldest one on my finger was 2010, and looks SO MUCH BETTER than what I received. They're trying to make me pay 80 dollars ( or get another one done to pay for cost of initial mistake) instead of correcting the horrible tattoo I was given.. I'm not asking for anything free. Just trying to get what I paid for !!! STAND BY YOUR WORK
^**^^In reply to their response ^^*
You offered me a complementary touch-up TWO HOURS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT, AND ONLY AFTER YOU READ MY GOOGLE REVIEW ! My tattoo looks like it was done with a hot paper clip, and melted lead from a pencil! It's that terrible.
Please save your money, and go to a respectable tattoo shop. Not this place.

I just got my tattoo done tonight but I am in love with both the tattoo and the shop! Cheryl did such an amazing job. I also loved the atmosphere of the shop and how friendly and sweet everyone was! I'm so glad I chose you guys to do my tattoo!! Thank you all, especially Cheryl, for making my 2nd tattoo experience the best!!! I will definitely be coming back here in the future!!! Ahhhh I'm obsessed with Gertie! (who we all named collectively)

This shop is so cute and welcoming! The staff are all so friendly and really did everything to make me feel like I belonged there. Jesse did a piece on my chest/shoulder and she did such an amazing job. It looks incredible and she kept checking in with me the whole time and let me take breaks whenever I needed to! I am so so so happy I went here and would 100% work with Jesse again! Definitely recommended!!!

Beware, theyโre pricey and they way they do business is a bit sketchy!
I reached out to this shop about getting a tattoo done with a specific artist. They told me to fill out their consult form ($5) which is fine. Then after I submitted it and paid, they choose to tell me sheโs booking out a year. I was irritated by that but whatever right? So I decided to go with a different artist (apprentice) and a different tattoo. I asked about price difference considering theyโre apprentices, which they told me was about 20% less. I asked if they would confirm with her that it was a tattoo she could do with her skill level. They immediately said yes but told me theyโd ask her to make sure (which I thought was odd too). They wanted to schedule me for an appointment (without a consult) but I asked for a consult first cause I always have one? I sent over pictures for her and explained what I liked about each one. I decided on a rose about the size of a half dollar with a stem around 4-5 inches long (neotraditional, decently shaded). They quoted me 300-450 depending on different factors (they explained it was more expensive for hand placement) and told me itโd take 2-4 hours. (I felt 4 hours was a hefty amount of time for a small rose) Though when I went for the consult, they didnโt have a clearer answer about price and told me the same range even when I clarified I wanted a different easier placement. When asking specifically about tattoos sheโd done and if it was within her skill level, she couldnโt provide a good answer (kept repeating herself to different questions) but insisted she could do it anyways. I felt she was overconfident as she hadnโt done anything like it before, and felt she didnโt care about my feelings about it being permanent. When going over the pictures again that Iโd sent her, it didnโt seem like sheโd read the email at all. I explained exactly what I wanted (in the email) but she had no idea about it, even general things like technique/style. I later contacted a different artist (with a lot more experience and bigger portfolio) who completed the tattoo in under 1.5 hours in which I paid 200 for!! Overall I just wasnโt impressed with this shop. I think for the quality of work the apprentices out out, they are way over priced and a little pushy. Also, if it takes you longer because youโre inexperienced, why would you charge for that extra time it takes you to complete it? I wasnโt comfortable so I never went through with it and I stand by that decision.
Reply to owner: I was not given the option of a consult form or in-person, I was told I needed to fill out the form and pay the fee to secure a spot there. As for the โchangesโ I was completely set on where I wanted it and what I wanted it to look like, but considering 1) unavailability of the artist I wanted (which I was conveniently informed of after submitting the form) and 2) the high cost, I changed the concept cause I was not comfortable with an apprentice doing a complicated technical piece, and asked what would changes would make it more affordable. I had completely decided on the rose and placement. There was absolutely no confusion or irregularity in the pricing, I was given a range the first time with my set design and placement, and each time I provided specific information. I informed you of all of my expectations and design ideas and was still not given a set price. I did not want to adjust the piece to fit your prices when I can go anywhere else and get what I want done for half the price and 2x the quality. This shop is just unprofessional and unorganized.

I got my first tattoo done here by Lindsey, she did a wonderful job and I admire her willingness to do such a detailed and important tattoo. She was very kind and checked in often to make sure everything was going good. She is an amazing artist and Iโd highly recommend her or really anyone in this shop! they give off some really good energy and make you feel very comfortable during the process. The shop itself was very aesthetically pleasing, the plants and all of the art on the walls is a great touch and really puts the place together. If you go here please tip your artists well, they deserve it! Thanks so much for an awesome experience โค๏ธ

WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! I found The Tattooed Lady in a google search. I reached out inquiring about an appointment through the online form and got a response back within 24 hours. I was SO impressed with the salon's communication and promptness. The salon space itself was clean, bright, welcoming, and not at all intimidating like other tattoo shops can be.
After reviewing my artist options, I chose Morgan. She was AMAZING!! She was extremely friendly, professional, and not to mention gave me a great fine line tattoo. While I was in her chair I asked her to touch up another one which she happily did. Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend this place and Morgan as your artist!

It was my first tattoo ever and I am so glad I came here!! Nothing but a bunch of boss ladies! I got the pleasure to work with Jessi and she made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. Super clean environment and I love the art all around the parlor. I canโt wait to be back in the future!
