So I often wonder what makes people choose a tattoo artist. Is it the location? Is it the expertise in the artist and his training? Have you looked at his portfolio of the work he has done? Price? Health and cleanliness? Attitude, friendliness, humor? Are you comfortable with this person when you first meet them? Well..... let me save you the time of finding the perfect tattoo artist in Saratoga Springs NY. I have been getting tattoos for quite some time now with Chris at Pink Raven Tattoos. He goes over the top on the list of what to look for in an artist. From the very first time I entered his establishment, we immediately developed a special friendship, common grounds of everything I believe in. I have never felt so safe and secure in the hands of someone who was going to put a tattoo on my body, as I have with Chris. The shop is immaculate as well as his methods of cleaning his equipment. His wonderful sense of humor puts you right at ease and the conversation just flows with laughter. I always trust his judgement and knowledge . Remember, tattoos are for life, so you must be happy and confident with your artist's abilities. Chris exceeds all of this! I don't usually write reviews, but I feel the need to let the public know.

Charges by tattoo size and NOT by hour. Makes you pay for entire tattoo BEFORE he does it AND adds in his tip. I had to cancel my second appointment due to HIS scheduling mistake and he would not refund all of my money claiming in the contract he keeps at least $150 if canceled even though it was HIS screwup. His work is good, not great and he charged almost 4x the amount that my other tattoo artist for only 2 hours of work. Poor work ethics.

My daughter and I went to Pink Raven 5yrs ago. We got matching tree of life tattoos. From the moment we entered the shop, we were welcomed with a warm, genuine greeting. Chris not only worked on our tattoos, but did them with extreme care. His place is immaculate and you can tell how much pride he has in his business. There isn't a week that goes by, that I am not complimented on my tree of life. We left there full of wonderful, humourous, and compassionate stories. Chris is the best and a very talented artist.
I moved to Florida and recently moved back. While I was down there, I decided on some new tattoos. After going to shop after shop, and seeing filthy shops and artists that I just didnt connect with, I decided to wait until I got back to NY and see Chris.
Today I got two tattoos and have another session coming up. I was welcomed with open arms, literally. His shop is impeccably clean, I could eat off his floors! He takes pride on his hygiene methods, everything is sparkling! His sense of humor and great concern for his customers, makes you relaxed with no worries at all. His love for people and treating everyone equal , really comes through. I love the tattoos I got today, and am proud to tell people where they can get the best tattoo , attention to every detail! Two things I look for when going to a tattoo shop. 1. I have to connect with the artist , important 2. Shop must be clean.
Chris came through in flying colors! His talent literally surrounds him.

I CAN NOT thank Chris enough!! This guy is sooo talented!! His work is absolutely amazing!! He did a whole entire floral sleeve on me!! I was nervous In the begin cause I was getting this big piece done, cause it was a permanent!! I went in every couple of weeks, then every week for shading!! The piece is sooo realistic.His Shop is Super Clean!!I WOULD recommend Pink Raven!! This guy right here will be my new tattoo artist!! Way to go Chris and thank you for everything!!β€οΈβ€οΈ

I had my first tattoo done by Liz at Pink Raven and it was a great experience! In the consultation, Liz took her time and listened to what I wanted. She was great about making revisions and I changed my mind quite a few times! When it came time for the tattoo, she was very accommodating and professional yet compassionate and caring. Liz asked many times if I was ok (I was very nervous!) and if I needed a break. I highly recommend Liz and will be getting another tattoo soon! Very happy customer!

Coming in new to the area I was looking for a tattoo artist to do a piece. After searching for a while I landed in Pink Raven and as soon as I met Chris I knew it was going to be an amazing experience. I have been to a ton of shops, not only around here, but across the country and there are very few that are as welcoming as this place! I went in to get a small leg tattoo and here we are now. A lower leg sleeve complete and an arm sleeve in the works... went in to find a tattoo artist and found a long time friend! Chris is an amazing soul who intentionally and genuinely cares about every person that walks through his doors! Go check him and his work out!!! Oh and the tattoos speak for themselves..
