Black Clover Tattoo Collective

I really wanted to love this shop but my artist just didn't meet my expectations. I had gotten a tattoo with this artist before and loved their work but this time around I feel like they were just in too much of a rush to pay attention to all the issues of the tattoo. I also feel like we just weren't able to communicate to each other very well when it came to the design. I really wanted a simple flowing floral arm wrap and instead I got this heavy barbed wire looking piece that was stacked on top of each other. Its a floral piece but its so small and stacked it feels like it looks like barbed wire. The placement is so bad plus I really hate certain aspects of the tattoo that I had specifically asked to have changed a few times but wasn't. I think the artist did well on the tattooing part, as in the lines were consistent and the shading was done well. I think overall we just didn't align on the design and ended up with a bad piece. Also on the topic of communication this artist doesn't do well on reaching out to clients. I asked for a touch up to try and remedy the issue but was never contacted. I know its been hectic with all the holidays but this entire experience has steered me away from going back. I'm now looking for an artist that can communicate better with me and my style and hopefully can fix up this tattoo. Overall all I can say is I'm pretty disappointed.

Updated Response to the owner: I did not state that the communication issue was solely on me. It was both me AND the artist. As I stated above the artist blatantly ignored my request to change the design. I was trying to be polite to the artist because I get that there are going to be bad days. If you noticed I didn't even mention the name of the artist. I want to be as respectful as possible while stating the experience I had. I do not want to steer future clients away from the artist rather make future clients aware that they should be careful when it comes to selecting their artist and they should really look into their artist. I understand your frustration as a business owner and what it means to receive a bad review but I am only trying to make clients aware and maybe even make the artist aware of the issue because again they aren't communicating with me. I'm not trying to cause issues or be disrepectful.

Second tattoo here, first at the new shop (shop is so so so cute) and third from one of their artists. They always do great work and have such great personalities I will definitely be back again. Noah did an awesome job.

I've been looking forever to find an artist whom does amazing delicate finger artwork and permanentpokes takes the whole cake. She was so kind and amazing, not to mention very precise in her work. I absolutely love my new tattoos and will absolutely be back for more 10/10.

Excellent service all around! Wonderful and super talented artists. Very easy to work with. Clean and professional environment but go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Shout out to Peach and Noah!

I went in yesterday to get my very first tattoo. AJ was amazing and made me feel super comfortable while she was doing my tattoo. I absolutely love it!!! I will be coming back for more in the future. Thank you for making this experience a great and positive one for me!!

Two of my adult children and I have been tattooed by Audrey. We love her. She did amazing work on all of us and is just the sweetest. We all have plans on having her do even more work. The environment at Black Clover is great and comfortable and everyone seems so nice.

I’ve had tattoos here by two artists! Ciara, who has done multiple hand poke tattoos for me, and Noah Zenger, who created a beautiful siren tattoo for me. I cannot recommend this place and the artists here enough! The work I have seen by all of them is incredible and the work I have had done by Ciara and Noah is outstanding!!

I got my first tattoo here years ago and since then I’ve been proud to let everyone know where I got my tattoo done at. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the healing instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. I definitely plan to come back once I figure out what I want next!

Brian has amazing customer service. He is very responsive and cares about his work. He completed a piercing for our daughter, and everything has gone well. We had questions about her current ring; he answered our questions and changed her ring for an additional option.

I’ve been going to Ciara for almost a year now, and i love her!! She does amazing hand poked designs, she fast without sacrificing quality. I have 4 from her now but i will definitely be coming to get more!!
And the new location is great!
