I went into this shop for the Friday the 13th event.
I came on Friday afternoon and after about 5 hours I had to leave to go to a movie so I came back Saturday morning first thing to get back on the wait list and was able to get in after a few hours.
I am so impressed with this shop and their staff.
I want to start off by saying that this shop is great!
Everyone was kind and I never felt uncomfortable. The owner (Lisa) was so sweet and kind. She genuinely cares about the clients who walk through her door. This shop held a two day long flash sheet special and not once did I see her blow up on anyone. It was so chaotic I honestly hope she knows she did an amazing job. She was answering phones, calling people on the wait list, prepping and filling out paperwork, scanning IDs, etc all while taking care of typical everyday shop duties. She was amazing!
Now for my tattoo artist. I was assigned to OB. He was absolutely fantastic! The design I chose was drawn by him so I was very excited to have the original artist tattoo me. He was so great! I honestly couldn't be happier with his work. He had been tattooing for two days straight and you couldn't even tell. He didn't seem tired or anything! He has such a happy personality and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. He lets you know what he's doing as he goes. He isn't one of those "too cool to talk to you" type tattoo artists. I absolutely loved him and would be ecstatic to return to him for any of my future tattoos. I highly recommend this shop and this tattoo artist. You won't regret it!

I got a flash sale tat from Lyle, and I am BEYOND happy with the results! This guy is absolutely wonderful!!
My fiance got a tat from Obie and he blew our minds as well! Super chill funny guy with some great skills! Awesome place to go!(:

Went in with a idea for a memorial tattoo. Spoke with OB and told him what we wanted in it and he went to work. He came back with a awesome design. Was so happy with his work I went back the next day to get another done and the wife set up an appt to get more work done too. Everyone at this shop is extremely talented and very laid back. This is my only go to shop from now on.

Went in a few days ago....these guys and gals are THE BEST!!!! The shop has a great vibe, everyone was incredible. Cody the work rocks they turned out great and are healing well. I will be back for more wanna get something done from all artist in this shop.

I don’t remember his name, but he’s the very first booth... This dude was AMAZING!! Super friendly, and very funny! This was my first tattoo and he made it the best experience ever! I mean he ~literally~ did a backflip, he was so stoked I was sharing my first tattoo experience with him! I got some moons and he shaded them beautifully..An incredible artist! Oh, and if your in a time crunch definitely pay him a visit. This man is super fast and efficient. A+ bro! Will definitely be visiting very soon! Maybe one on the “left cheek” next time haha!

Obie was nothing short of amazing! This was my daughter’s first tattoo. She did all the research to find the best for her. Obie was so personal and has the eye of a great artist! I cannot give him high enough praise!

OB was my artist today for the Friday the 13th event. The staff were hilarious and great to be around. I want to make this my go-to shop from now on. I chose a simple design and left the color up to OB. My friend and I love how it turned out and hope it lasts for years to come. Update: went in for the valentines flash and took my hub. My tattoo exceeded all expectations and I couldn’t be happier. I talked my hub into a tat also. We got OB, excellent work as always. Love them!

American Ink is one of those rare tattoo shops where you find both talent and friendly demeanor. I'm completely pleased with my tattoo, and the entire experience was fun! I've never had a better time getting a tattoo. Lyle and OB were courteous and easy to talk with, and really went the extra mile to show that the appreciate all their customers. They offer great specials too! Make your way over the next time you're needing ink. Bring an extra $20 to buy a raffle ticket to win a $600 tattoo!! All the proceeds go towards helping a family create memories while they still can.

Jason Hill is an AMAZING artist! This tattoo shop as a whole is very inviting, everyone is friendly. Great atmosphere and fun!

The Friday the 13th line was a long wait, but they explicitly tell you that on their event page, that if you’re there early, the sooner you’ll be seen and that the wait gets much longer as it gets later, because there are SO MANY people waiting to get in, with only a few artists. I don’t understand why people were so mad about this. The staff was sweet and friendly, they tried their best to accommodate, even let people be on the early list for the next afternoon for first dibs once they had to cut off for the night. It was well worth it the wait. I believe Lyle did mine, he was fast and did clean lines, even after being there since they opened doing tat after tat, back hurting and sore all over, he was kind and wonderful. It would be nice to see customers give the same amount of consideration and empathy that the staff gave.
