Raincloud Tattoo, private studio of Kari Yocom

Kari is an amazing and thoughtful tattoo artist. I gave her my ideas for my first tattoo, which I was pretty nervous about, and she created the perfect piece. Her studio is fun and inviting and very private. I would highly recommend Raincloud tattoo to anyone looking for a great tattoo artist.

I have been stalking Raincloud Tattoo's Instagram Account for a year because her color and design were so amazing. I was waiting to get an idea for what I wanted from her. Once COVID-19 quarantine lifted, I was able to book an appointment. Kari is extremely thoughtful and takes her practice/art so seriously. I felt in such good hands with her and wasn't nervous at all about getting a tattoo while COVID still existed. Her space is so clean, her protocols are better than doctors offices, and her technique is incredible. My tattoo is on my shoulder and I now where more clothes to show it off. I get people stopping me to ask about it. I can't wait to get another one by this very talented artist.

Kari fixed a tattoo for me that I was really bummed out about. The coloring in my initial tattoo was way off. It was supposed to be a vanilla orchid with two vanilla beans and a cute cupcake. Before Kari touched it up, it looked like a daffodil with two brown string beans. She was able to make my tattoo look the way I wanted it to and actually made it better than I’d hoped it to be. I’m really excited to have her expand my on my design. She has really creative ideas and skills to match.

I had been doing my research for a few months, following multiple artists online for a while and finally decided to make an appointment with Kari, at Raincloud Tattoo. The online booking was quite easy, and -most importantly- my tattoo came out perfectly.

The place is very clean, reasonably priced and totally worth the quality. You don't want to skimp on quality when it comes to something this permanent. And Kari did a fantastic job on my tattoo, and constantly made sure that I was comfortable and that I wasn't in any pain. After the tattoo was finished, she gave me all the necessary aftercare instructions.

Kari has magic hands, I barely felt any pain; this is my second tattoo but I'm definitely looking forward for many more tattoos at Raincloud Tattoo. I'll hopefully return sooner than later to get more work done from her!

Kari was wonderful to work with! My tattoo was in a tricky location and she took the time to adjust and modify the stencil multiple times until it was just right. Her Covid policies are strict and professional, the studio is adorable, and her line work is fantastic.

A dream experience for my first tattoo! The studio is safe and spotless, Kari is excellent with communication, and her art style is AMAZING. If you love color, she is your artist! Book her ASAP!

Kari spent time photographing the flower I wanted in ink prior to my appt. LOVED what she came up with and added to an existing tat. New image looks like it has always been there! Her botanicals are just beautiful and her use of color is incredible! Thank you, Kari!!! I've gotten so many compliments on it!

I sent a request in two weeks ago for something that is pretty basic. She finally got back to me today saying she doesn't do "simple" tattoos but if I wanted something more complicated then sure! So beware before you spend the time getting your stuff together just know she's too busy for basics. Also babe, I'm not going to have you do one of the bigger pieces I have in mind if you're going to be snotty about something small or take two weeks just to say no.

(I am glad she sent me a rejection in the end because I love knowing who absolutely not to trust my "basic" permanent body art to.)

Edit: I guess she has plenty of time to monitor her Google reviews seeing as she responded to this way faster to this than to tell me my tattoo was too basic for her.

Personally if I would have seen a review that says "takes forever to get back, rejected tattoo idea because it was too ~uninteresting~" even if someone wasn't a client I would have saved my time and energy so I'm hoping to do the same for someone else.

Best tattoo experience I have had so far! She has a very nice and professional private studio. I liked how comfortable I was there and that, unlike most shops, there was not a bunch of people. Its all about you. She lets you pick your music you want to listen to and she has a really nice tattoo chair/table which makes sitting for hours very doable. On top of the professional aesthetics she is very intuitive and talented. Her coloring techniques are unlike anyone else's I have seen. Her rates are so reasonable, especially for how much time she puts into. We had two consults before the tattoo and she really took the time to keep adjusting it until we came up with a design that I really love. I can not draw even a little bit and I had a very vague idea of what I wanted. Her collaboration, communication and patience got me the design I wanted. I will post a picture once the final coloring is done. Also, this was a cover which added some challenge but she nailed it!

Kari is a beautiful person inside and out. Her tattoos are truly art. I plan to get another one by her as her style is unique and vibrant, just like her!
