Absolutely thrilled with my experience at ThoughtCrime Tattoo. Johnny was able to fit me in for a last minute appointment during my trip to Portland.
The shop location and set up is great- big, open, natural lighting- super pleasant place. Everything is very clean.
I went in for a tattoo with some vague ideas, on an impulsive whim- which, of course, is not a generally a favorite of tattoo artists :) Johnny helped me figure everything out- my design, placement, everything. He was so thoughtful, patient, kind, and professional!
Johnny did an outstanding job on my piece. He talked me through everything, had a light hand, and the finished product was more than I could have asked for. Johnny also covered the piece in second skin to keep it clean and healing for a few days- I love this, so much better than the usual methods I've encountered as far as bandaging/post-treatment.
Judging by what I saw online and in the shop, the other artists look great as well!
I'll definitely be coming back in the future to have more work done here. I see absolutely no reason to go anywhere else!

This was the best tattoo experience I've ever had! Jake Pooler was my artist and he did an incredible job. He is very detailed in his work and wants to make sure he is giving you the best piece he possibly can. The atmosphere is amazing. In his cubicle tattoo booth he has Netlix, Hulu, all the tv you can watch WHILE you are being tattooed and his tattoo gun is so quiet, you cant even hear it is on. I can't express enough how much I loved going to this shop and being tattooed by Jake. Thank you guys so much!

Had a fantastic session with Danny. First tattoo and a walk in, had an overall great experience. They were all friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them, the artwork I saw done on someone as well as the works in progress show that all these artists have true talent.

My best friend and I were here for the Beer festival and had already planned to get tattoos. We called in advance and it wasn't busy 4th of July weekend so we went in and they were able to take us. Brian did mine and he pulled up what I wanted, asked about placement, double checked once he did the transfer, and worked efficiently. I have gotten lots of compliments and I will definitely consider taking another tattoo vacation. They were super friendly and very welcoming even with our corny jokes and Vegas shenanigans.

Awesome experience! We were Driving through town on our way back to Utah... Johnny got us right in and did our tattoos quickly and professionally. Great environment... Clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend getting work done by him. Great place!

Thought Crime is probably one of the best tattoo shops I've ever been to. Danny Clave is my tattoo artist for my current sleeve work and I am so happy with it. He is by far the sweetest tattoo artist with the most bad ass tattoo designs and awesome works of art. Recommend.

I'm typically skeptical of an artist who is immediately available for a walk in. However Mike was available due to a cancellation and was able to see me that day. He was very cool and professional. He does great work and I'm grateful he was available after all. I hope to make an appointment for more ink in the future. The studio is clean and has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Mike at Thought Crime if you're looking for a new artist.
