True West Tattoo

Such even minded staff- easy to talk to. Tattoo experience was 10/10

Came here for a Valentine’s Day flash sale. Haunnah did an amazing job making the flash look different enough to where it’s still a unique tattoo! Came back for another today and she has easily become one of my favorite tattoo artists in the SLO area. 10/10 recommend her!

I came in sort of last second as a walk in- I had a pretty unpleasant experience with a friend at another local shop so we decided to check out True West Tattoo. At arrival all staff was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable, my friend and I as clients were taken care of throughout the entire process. At the very end, I ran into some set backs with my payment method as far as a smooth/quick exit goes and my artist was every bit as gracious and patient as I could have asked for. I would absolutely go back to this shop and artist! Her work turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier with end result. @hussynflossy is the best!

I got these both done by Eric Jones and I absolutely love them! Eric is a wonderful artist with great vibes and I'm proud to have his art on me fo' eva :) the shop overall is lovely as well, i highly recommend, and I will definitely be back!

I created a Yelp account strictly to write this review. AVOID THE BLONDE LADY ARTIST AT ALL COSTS. I have gotten many tattoos in my life and I have never had a worse tattoo than the one she gave me. Sadly, I gave her another chance to redeem herself as she was the only one available for walk-ins (Obviously that should’ve been the first sign she was horrible). But she first put the stencil on wrong and had to redo it 3 times (I don’t mean messed it up like the lines weren’t straight, I mean put it on upside down, and then side ways). Not to mention, the lettering on my tattoo is completely crooked, thick and thin in different parts, nothing looks right, and she even forgot a few letters in the tattoo. I will be going to someone else to get it fixed. The other guys in this store seemed great but they’re always booked. Very nice guys. But please, whatever you do, AVOID THE BLONDE WOMAN ARTIST. Unfortunately, I don’t remmeber her name. But just do yourself a favor and don’t do a walk-in. Please.

A friend and I went into the shop near closing time to make an appointment for the next day. The door stated Walk ins Welcome. We were told the shop would be fully staffed the next day, and opening time was at 11:00. We went to the shop the next morning and waited. Only one worker showed at 11. Another showed up 30 minutes later, but never said a word. He just sat up equipment. The first artist stated that only the female artist did walk ins, and he was mistaken about her working that day. He had a customer waiting with us every bit of a half hour. We had pleasent conversation with him. We left for about 2 hours, and then I went back in shop , and up the stairs and saw the first artist being tattooed by the other. They did not see me watching. I went outside and called asking if maybe an opening had become avaliable. The first artist stated no they were sorry, and no one was avaliable. Maybe if we were younger, and hotter we may have had a chance at getting a tattoo? Anyway, we will not try to embark on another True West adventure

Eric Jones is... Wait for it... Wait for it.... Wait for it... LEGENDARY!!! I haven't visited him here at his new shop. But the custom piece he did a piece on me at Port City in Costa Mesa (one tattoo of the dozens and dozens I have) years ago IS STILL a top contender for "My Favorite".

Amazing artists, great vibes and service! I recommend Josh Rodriguez! Wish I had the pleasure of knowing the owner in his haydays 🐴

WOW what a neat place, greeted like they knew me for years, the owners are so sweet and amazing treat u like family the min u walk through the doors. Lisa who did my tattoo is an incredible artist took care of me the entire time only to see the ink she gave me made me cry it’s exactly what I wanted it’s beautiful. I can 100 percent say your experience with them will be great. Thanks guys I LOVE MY NEW INK💞

Great place to get traditional work done. The entire staff is very professional Eddie did my work. I absolutely loved his input on it. Will definitely come again.

My wife and I recently went in to True West Tattoo and were amazed at the quality of work and by the personnel. From the beginning upon walking through the doors to the end, we were greeted with warmth and friendly service. It wasn't like most shops who focus on getting you in and out, they were more concerned about providing a clean and friendly environment. The tattoo itself was great and has healed very nicely. You can't beat the price for the quality of work they do. We definitely would go back. Thanks again Eric!

First off, the shop is always immaculate when it comes to cleanliness. Many shops do not come close to this. Second, every artist that works there is a master of their craft and it shows not only in their tattoos but also in the way they shape the ideas clients come in with to make them better. I love this shop and will continue to come back until I have no more room left on my body.

Greet atmosphere and the guys are awesome.
