I loved the lady tho did my piercing, very kind and super helpful. But then I went and asked about getting a tattoo and the guy said my idea was stupid and was pretty rude. First impressions are everything and for someone who was looking to grt work done somewhere new they definitely drive me away with that...

This was my first time ever getting a tattoo at this location. The line work is not straight, and you can tell it was rushed. I’ve see all the other work that has been done and it looks amazing, so I’m extremely disappointed in how both turned out.

Bonnie was fast & thorough. I liked her down to business approach. Will be back and hope she’s there when I do.

Honestly the best place to get tattoos and piercings!!! Love them so much. I’m going to get my lip pierced this weekend there

Emma, the piercer, has don't my nostril and my septum. She walks me through it, let me express my anxiety, then is just all around the sweetest! Her prices are beyond reasonable and she is the only piercer I will go to. Thank you for everything, Emma!

I came in for my first tattoo as a walk in. They were very nice, not a long wait time, and made the experience amazing. My tattoo is all healed and it’s perfect. Going again for more.

if youre an 18 year old girl, with unlimited time, that likes to be told what tattoo to get and where you want it, then this place is perfect for you. if youre a person with very limited time and cant afford unreliable, dishonest service then i recommend you look elsewhere. i drove there for the consultation and scheduled an appointment 3 days prior and was specifically told, you would do the 3 tattoos i asked for and the piercings i wanted. i drove there twice from cloquet on my very rare days off. completely wasted my time

I am a regular at this shop. I am posting this from a fake account to avoid retaliation because I have Unfinished work by Jason I would like finished. I have been getting tattooed here for years and I get tattooed often. I am so sad to write this bad review but I don’t want anyone to experience what I have. Over the past year I have seen such a dramatic change in the shop, within the demeanor of the employees and in the atmosphere as a whole. The quality of my tattoos has went from amazing to something I am not proud to show off. Whenever I look at my work I remember the terrible experiences I have had. The video they posted on the Gitchee Gumee Facebook page in the end of August really made me feel like I needed to post this bad review. They looked terrified, I have seen that same look on Gitchee Gumee employees the 3 times I have been tattooed this year while they were getting screamed at and called terrible names. I have witnessed Jason (the owner) berate his employees and call them awful names. I watched their demeanor and work suffer from his name calling and and screaming at them. The place looks terrible. They have all this weird stuff up to help combat some “air problem” Jason has screamed about it and berated his employees over it. I haven’t felt anything wrong with the air while being there. They have styrofoam on the doors, loud fans running constantly, weird looking metal sheeting at the front door. It looks crazy and very unprofessional. It’s also very uncomfortable to be in there due to the fans, screaming, name calling and metal tubing. I am not writing this to try and ruin the reputation of this shop. But I want everyone aware of the experience they will have if they choose to get tattooed here. This isn’t the same place I started getting tattooed at. The employees I loved are now gone. That should tell you something there. The reception is so rude. I miss the old Gitchee Gumee. I am writing this review with a heavy heart, please don’t take anything

I believe my artist's name was Phil. He did an amazing job with my flower tattoo! I will for sure be in contact in the near future for him to hopefully do my next tattoo! I will be recommending this shop to all my friends, the vibes here are amazing. Couldn't have asked for better! (This was also my first tattoo so thank you for the great experience)😊

They cannot do small or delicate tattoos. Force you to get simple, bigger designs. Also, asked for a conch and rook piercing but instead my daith was pierced on accident.

I would not recommend this place for a tattoo. I went in with a very simple tattoo idea and left with a piece that looked nothing like what I asked for. The artist knew he made a mistake and then proceeded to shade in the tattoo even though I did not want that. Next step will be removing this. Extremely disappointed and upset with how unheard I felt.

I got my first ink done here. Was a walk in client, and was able to get in right away!! Wonderful job done by the artist bonnie. Overall 10/10 experience. I would highly recommend

Jason Voss is an excellent artist. We came up with a design within 15 minutes, he made some suggestions to make sure that it would be a tattoo that lasts a lifetime, and I love the tattoo! I highly recommend this tattoo parlor.
