He had great suggestions on tattoo placement, shading changes, etc. that made my tattoo turn out even better than I had hoped! My family and I were visiting friends in Montana and on a whim decided we wanted new tattoos. We had called many places and nowhere was willing to take us. We were leaving Bozeman and just happened to drive by East Main and pulled in. The guys were extremely welcoming and awesome. There were 3 of us getting tattoos and all a little unsure of what we wanted. We were all helped and the staff was very patient with us as we decided what we wanted and even gave great recommendations. We ended up being paired with the artist, Brendan, and he was wonderful. He was extremely professional, and clean yet conversed and cut up with us. He was extremely accommodating to my brother who was getting his first tattoo and made sure to ask him if he was comfortable and 100% happy with everything before he began tattooing. We are all extremely pleased with East Main, go check them out you won’t be disappointed!

There were two main issues with my appointment with Dana. The first, relatively minor, issue: I showed up on time, but Dana was an hour late and hadn't even started the drawing. So we didn't start tattooing until three hours after I showed up. The second, much bigger issue: Not sure why, but it seems like Dana really rushed the tattoo. The tattoo has lots of blown out lines, and I actually have quite a bit of scarring (which I've never had before from a tattoo). I went went back to the shop four months later for a touch-up because the color hadn't held in several places---and Dana told me the tattoo was "still healing" (after four months)! Anyway, I decided to cut my losses and got it touched up at a different shop. Dana is a good artist, and clearly capable of doing really solid work---but I think he just phones it in some days. Pretty disappointed.

I had a really great experience here at East Main Ink. It was a Sunday and Brendan was swamped but he was kind enough to get me in for a small script tat that morning. What I liked most is he didn’t rush through anything or make me feel like he just wanted to get through it and onto the next tat even with it being so small. It meant a lot because I was getting my grandmother who had just passed that weeks’ name on my forearm. It was special and Brendan helped make it feel special. Horrible experience, they do not care about their walk ins. They are all very talented artists; however, the person who did my tattoo busted it out in 12 minutes and when I looked down it was clearly not what I had described, and then he charged $220. He rushed me through the process of describing what I wanted, even though it was quite simple, assuring me he understood what I was talking about. But he did not seem care, and it became clear that he didn't care when he finished. So now I have a tattoo I hate and am $260 broker. Again, as far as talent goes they have it, If you make an appointment you will probably get better treatment. I just feel like I got robbed blind and kicked tot the curb and and this review is all I got.

I’ve always known that if I ever got a tattoo, I would want it to be something meaningful and have to be perfect. I’ve been in love with Montana since I first visited in 2017, and I knew I wanted a tattoo that reflected that. I did my research and found East Main Ink and knew that during my next trip to Montana I would be getting a tattoo (or 2). My tattoos by Baker were nothing short of flawless. I have been following East Main Ink for a couple years now, specifically Baker (aka @ijustwantsomethingsmall). I’ve seen the work he does, and knew I could trust him to tattoo me with something so important to me. I was a walk in, and I can understand how the workers may feel rushed when taking walk ins (especially seeing how popular East Main Ink is). Baker took his time while creating the designs, made sure I got exactly what I wanted, and even complimented me on how great I did while tattooing 2 very painful areas (ribs and inside of foot). They are for sure the cleanest tattoos I’ve ever seen. I am so so happy with how they turned out, and will always make it a point to visit while in Montana. I highly recommend anyone, whether it be a first tattoo or 100th, to visit East Main Ink and get with Baker. As for the shop, East Main Ink gave off a great vibe all around. The place was clean, organized, and everyone seemed super chill and kind! Also, great taste in music if I may add lol. I recently got my first tattoo done by Brendan and I am extremely happy with his work. He was patient, personable, and professional throughout the whole process and answered all my questions. The vibe in the shop is laid back, but it's easy to tell how seriously this crew takes their craft. Brendan did a custom drawing of my tat while I was in the shop, and took the extra time to make sure I was perfectly happy with it before we started. During the tattooing process, he made sure I was comfortable and was more than willing to let us take a few breaks. It was obvious he wasn't rushing and wanted me to walk away with a quality piece of art. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! He took my idea and elevated it to something special. Such a nice guy and super professional when it came to the tattoo, I was a terrible canvas and just kept moving, and Brandon didn’t say anything, just made sure I left with the best tattoo possible.
