Bad business and this would have been my 2nd tattoo with them. I submitted the work I wanted to have on my arm and they said it was approved, so I gave my $1000 deposit. I get to the shop for them to say, Oh this cant be done I am not sure who approved this, but we can do something else which was not even close to what I had approved by staff. After the 3rd attempt of them trying to fix this in the shop, I told them I wanted my deposit back since they approved the design and then couldn't do it, they said no. I would not recommend this place, dealing with people who cant do honest business with. Who knew they were in the wrong and still wouldn't do the right thing. I wonder how many locals and tourist they have pulled this same game with, oh yes we can do that, send your deposit, and then say we cant do that and keep the money and not doing any work. Good honest people and businesses do not treat others like this, be aware. Tourist coming off Broadway should shop around and find another place that can actually do the work they are expecting to get. Locals should be aware of how this business operates.

Mel and the team at Hart & Huntington Tattoo were absolutely amazing! The building is clean and welcoming, the staff was friendly and got me situated while Mel drew up my tattoo. Mel did great work and listened to exactly what I wanted. Her room was comfortable and I really appreciated the TV to help pass the time!

Absolutely awesome people/service. My artist was Austin Modglin. He was beyond amazing and exceeded every expectation I had. Wonderful at explaining every aspect of my tattoo, from the design to the aftercare. Definitely will be going back to him!

Would not recommend. Walked in for a simple and small Roman numeral tattoo and was told it would be $250-300! Save yourself the hassle and the money and go somewhere else!!

My wife got her 1st tattoo there while we were on vacation in Nashville. She was a nervous mess. But the staff was understanding and patient. Yasir really went above and beyond to answer all of her questions and calm her nerves with humor. Doug was her artist he was excellent as well. Despite the fact that her tattoo was tiny he listened to her and gave her feedback. All in all it is the perfect place to go if you’re nervous about getting a tattoo.

This was my very first experience with a tattoo. For years , I have been working on the art and placement of the tattoo in my mind. Austin helped bring that thought to artistic reality ! He nailed it. Absolutely - incredible and immaculately meticulous. He listened to all of my requests and brought it to life through his art. He did a phenomenal job making me feel comfortable and helping me to prepare for tattoo itself. I could not be more happy.

Tarik was awesome! Very patient, took his time to make sure it was exactly what we wanted (with his special touch). Highly recommend!

I had this vague idea of wanting a Tom Petty influenced wildflower tattoo and started researching artists. I came across Mel Lockett’s portfolio and started following her on Instagram—I knew immediately that she was the perfect artist for my tattoo. Her line work, florals, and creative spin are incredible and I knew I could trust her to fully develop my vague idea into something spectacular. The ability to brainstorm with her at the beginning of my appointment to choose the direction of the design was such an awesome experience. I enjoyed chatting with her while she worked and she respected when I just needed to squeeze the hell out of my sweater when it hurt. 😂 She’s a tattoo wizard that I would go to time and time again (when I figure out what I want next 😉). Mel took my idea and sprinted with it. I’m in love with it and keep finding excuses to roll up my sleeves to show it off even though it’s getting cold. Thank you Mel and the whole Hart & Huntington Nashville team for a beautifully memorable experience!

H&H is a top shelf operation. My tattoo came out exactly as planned. Beyond the tattoo being perfect John was such a good artist. He knew the exact pressure to use. I came out clean and had zero post tattoo problems. Nothing not even mild irritation.

Cory was great! I came in with a flash design, and he crushed it. I wanted to get a small tattoo for my 41st birthday, and I came in close to closing time, and they accommodated me. The check-in staff was knowledgeable and helped me determine the best placement for my small tattoo. They advised against me getting it in a place that wouldn't fair well over time, and I appreciate their customer service. Cory had me in and out of his chair in about 20 mins and invited me back to make this design more unique after it healed. The whole experience was highly professional, and everyone in the shop went the extra mile! I'll be back for sure!!

Walked for a quote. Ultimately decided against going here. Work is subpar and for a basic small line work tattoo no color minimal shading was quoted at $400-$600. Shop definitely looks to take advantage of tourists. Shop minimum is $150

Best tattoo I've got so far! It was a little pricier than previous tattoos I've had done, but looking at the artist's portfolios beforehand I understood why. After having it done, it became even more clear! The quality of this piece is incredible and the shop and people were welcoming and accommodating. Can't recommend enough!

Swung by here on a trip with the wife and we were feeling spontaneous so decided to shoot in and grab a tattoo each. The space was super cool, clean and the staff really attentive. The artists couldn't have been more accommodating of our design wishes as well. At the end of the day they got us in quickly, gave us tattoos we were thrilled with and made us happy. Definitely recommend!!

The shop is pristine and exceptionally clean. All the staff are friendly. Mel is an amazing artist. I have gotten 2 tattoos from her and they are both gorgeous. She is great at making you feel comfortable and works collaboratively to help you realize your tattoo dreams. I won't go to anyone else for my future tattoos.

Doug did an amazing job on my tattoo! My wife got a tattoo at the same time by Tarik which was equally impressive. I would recommend these guys 1000 times out of 1000. It's a pretty neat shop too, located in the second floor of an old, brick building. Very clean and well kept.

Mel gave my son his first tattoo. She did a great job was extremely professional and her artistry was on point. You get what you pay for , if you want a great tattoo in a sanitary environment this is your place. Book with Mel although you need to plan ahead because she is very busy if I could give more than five stars I would!
