I had a double mastectomy 20 years ago and the plastic surgeon did nipple reconstruction and “tattooing” which faded off within a couple of years. I put getting new nipples tattooed off for many years. With lots of prompting from my husband I finally decided to do it. I found Shade Tattoo online and was not disappointed. Alissa is very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. She did an awesome job. My husband was there with me for both appointments. I was very satisfied with her work. Saying my husband was happy with the outcome is an understatement…. His smile said it all. He also stated “they look very pinchable” hahaha. I would definitely recommend Shade tattoo Studio!

Alyssa is so talented and professional. She did a medical tattoo for me and then reworked a large coverup piece when many others had turned me down. She did a phenomenal job and turned something I was regretting into something that I’m so excited about.

Just got tattooed by Alissa yesterday and I cannot say enough good things about my whole experience! Initially, I sent her multiple pictures for inspiration and she ran with it and drew something one-of-a-kind for me. It was even better then I could have imagined! I even made a tiny suggestion to add some more greenery and she came back with exactly what I had pictured in my head. Once there, I immediately noticed how clean her space was. I felt completely comfortable. I wore a mask the entire time as did she. Alissa is somewhat of a perfectionist, which I can definitely appreciate when I am getting something permanent. She took her time getting the placement just right. This being my first tattoo I was a teensy bit nervous. Alissa made me feel so comfortable and kept the conversation going (I talk ALOT when I’m nervous). Thank you so much Alissa! I cannot wait to get tattooed by you again! I’ve already referred multiple people who have complimented your work.

I just got a big tattoo by Alissa & I couldn’t be happier! The whole experience was great - she did a really good job working w/ me to place the tattoo to fit my body well, & she was really good at communicating. I’m really excited to go back to get my tattoo finished up, definitely recommend!

I’m currently getting tattooed in her office and I’m blown away!!! Alissa is incredibly friendly and laid back to work with. I love that the office is quiet and small, which makes it feel really professional and like you are the most important client. She created my piece after looking at a Pinterest board I created and it was a perfect collage of my favorites! Her technique is beautiful and flawless. I love that she is willing to do exactly what you want at any given moment and her lines are SO CLEAN! I’m not going anywhere else EVER AGAIN!!! <\3

Shade was the first place for me to get a tattoo and I know where to recommend people when they ask me where to get one! The whole process was simple and I love going back in every time for a session to hangout!! Alissa is Super cool, laid back and REAL. That is all shown by her talent and her work shows it!! Alissa is super super talented! She makes you feel comfortable and is very helpful with her professional opinions! She’s got a light hand, which makes the experience great as well. I have gotten 2 tattoos from her(SO FAR) and they are by far my favorite. Her studio is one of the things I love too cause you feel very safe and unexposed when getting a more Scandalous tattoo. She is an extremely kind person who cares so much about the people she works with. Alissa is the best in the business. I waited more than 10 years to get this piece done and Alyssa was absolutely perfect. With her intense curiosity in anatomy, I felt comfortable with her immediately. She was professional, her shop is immaculate, music on point, atmosphere is super chill, and her attention to detail is remarkable. Superb talent, impressive professionalism, phenomenal communication. I visited Alissa thanks to a friend’s recommendation. I had a small tattoo (from another artist) on my arm that I was hoping to cover up with a new design. Alissa met with me for an hour consultation a few months in advance of the actual tattoo appointment to discuss the design and placement of the new tattoo. She immediately put me at ease with her warm personality and well-earned confidence in her own abilities. She asked for examples of tattoos I love and tattoo artists whose work I admire. I was still a bit undecided about what exactly I was looking for, but Alissa was very patient and asked exactly the right questions to help me focus my vision for the design. The week before my appointment, she sent me her initial drawing, which she presented on its own and photoshopped onto my arm so I could get a sense of its size & position and see how it would cover up the original tattoo. The design was lovely, but I had a few revision requests that I didn’t quite know how to articulate. When Alissa sent the revised design, it was as if she’d read my mind: it was perfect. I was very nervous on the day of my appointment, but Alissa was as patient and soothing as ever. For the next three hours, she remained friendly and engaged even as she focused on my tattoo, checking in on me now and then to see if I needed a break. In the end, the final tattoo was even more gorgeous than the design she’d sent me. I am proud to display her beautiful work on my arm, and so grateful to have the wonderful memory of receiving it. Thank you, Alissa, for the work you do. I’ll be back!
