There's a reason I fly out from California to get my tattoos done at Starkweather. So many good things to say, Idk where to start. Andy and Janelle are so welcoming and so passionate about what they do. All the artists at this shop are top notch professionals. Not only are these artists incredibly talented, but they also care about every single client that walks through their door. The place is very clean and comfortable. Zion was amazing! The tattoo was exactly what we wanted and he was very good at giving all the options we had to get the exact tattoo we wanted. It was my brother’s first tattoo and he was great at easing him in and letting him know what he was going to do so it was less nerve wracking. Fantastic experience and would definitely return!

I have gone through Sharkweather Tattoo for all 3 of my tattoos. My first two were with Andy and he was awesome. I was so nervous coming in and left so relaxed and happy with the results. Healed up beautifully and had clean lines. I got my 3rd tattoo with Zion recently. I was nervous to have a new person but he was professional and friendly. His lines are crisp and clean. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a tattoo whether it’s their first time or not. Clean place and great service.

Janelle did a fantastic tattoo for me, and did everything possible to make sure that I had an excellent experience at Starkweather. Not only is she an incredible artist, she's a wonderful person. She was personable, easy to talk to, and completely receptive to any concerns I had during the process. Everyone at the shop was wonderful, and professional, and my husband I had a great time getting to know the artists there. I highly recommend Starkweather.

Got a tattoo done by Charline. She is amazing and her tattoos/artwork are beautiful. The business/building itself is very open and welcoming. Every time I have walked in, I was greeted quickly by whomever was closest to the door. :) The stations are clean and I feel comfortable in the shop. Highly recommend! I will definitely be back for my future tattoos!!

Got my first tattoo by Zion G at stark weather. The parlor is extremely professional and everyone was very nice. I am in love with the tattoo I got here, and it was reasonably priced for the size of the tattoo and how well done it was done. Also, Zion made sure to give me detailed information on aftercare. I will definitely be coming back, and would recommend this parlor to anybody if you are looking for a high quality tattoo.

I did not have a great experience. I was so excited when booking my appointment in December of 2021. I booked it with Janelle for 2.7.22. Four days before the appointment, I asked for a mock up of the tattoo and some pricing information. I got no response. On the day of my appointment, Janelle had to cancel, no problem. She said she’d get back to me to book a new appointment. She didn’t. I reached out a week later to rebook. She asked about March 8th and I stated I couldn’t. We then decided on March 18th. On 3.6.22 I got an automated text asking to confirm my appointment for 3.8.22. I then reached out to Janelle to tell her about this and she stated she got a new phone and must’ve forgotten to put in. So ANOTHER appointment missed-at no fault of my own. I asked about the 18th hoping I was at least down for that day. Sadly, no. She hadn’t actually booked me. At this point, I’m irritated and asked for my deposit back. She refused even though I wasn’t at fault for missing these appointments. I still wanted the tattoo but now her books were full and the next appointment I could get would be 6.25.22-pretty much 6 months later as I booked on 12.3.21. Sadly, today, I chose to cancel this appointment. Within the last week, Janelle chose to rant(on social media) about a customer that was upset for having his appointment cancelled, by Janelle-without the option of a deposit refund. Now, Janelle had a legit reason to need to cancel and I completely understand that things come up in life that you can’t move or avoid. However, when you work in the service industry people will get upset when they’ve paid for a service they didn’t get(at no fault of their own). Things happen that are out of our control but her unprofessional and rude response was 100% in her control. I just kept thinking, what if I was the person she was ranting about? In the end, it wasn’t her talent that lead me to cancel-it was sheer lack of respect for clients/potential clients and pure unprofessionalism.

Zion was awesome! I am generally an anxious person and I am always nervous before tattoo appointments. Zion had multiple stencils drawn out in different styles when I arrived for my appointment. I had so inquired about getting a 5 year old tattoo touched up. He explained to me how he would approach the touch up, with it being a bit aged, before he began. He was professional and kind. The shop itself is very non intimidating. I’ve been to other tattoo shops that “feel like tattoo shops” and that atmosphere at Starkweather is much more relaxed. Zion is also a very gentle tattooer! He checked in with my often to see how I was doing, if I needed a break, water, etc. I highly recommend him and I would love to be tattooed by him again in the future.

What can I say except Janelle is a color goddess, is kind and personable, and her thoughtfulness to aftercare and follow up is unlike any other tattoo experience I’ve had. I’ve gotten two tattoos from here and they POP. Thank you, Janelle, for the stellar artwork and service.

I came to Starkweather as a tattoo virgin, Zion was very clear in his general vision and though process for the design process well before the appointment date. Personally I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable first tattoo experience, Zion checked in regarding my opinions and feelings at every step in the process, he offered a variety of options for stylistic details on the work and was very considerate and gentle with his work. Im hoping to find myself in his chair again before too long!

I got an amazing tattoo from Janelle (sorry if I spelled this wrong). She was amazing, such a light touch. The tattoo quality was amazing 100% worth the price, I WILL be coming here again!

I honestly wish I could give a separate review for the artist and how the tattoo looks. Coltron was very nice and I enjoyed talking with him, as a person would easily give 5 stars. But the tattoo just... is not it, which is disappointingly surprising because his portfolio looks good. The biggest issue I have is that it just looks unfinished with unfinished and disconnected lines and it wasn't a big tattoo. And I don't know how you tell someone mid-tattoo that. So, again, the people were nice but I need to definitely get it touched up.

I've had multiple experiences at Starkweather, and each one has been excellent. Everyone I've interacted with is warm and friendly, and the booking process was without hassle. I worked with Janelle for my last two tattoos and I couldn't have asked for better appointments. She made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease and designed a truly beautiful piece for me. I would definitely recommend her to those looking to get their first tattoo, she took away much of my anxiety around the process from start to finish and was a joy to spend a few hours with!
