I love the whole vibe of their shop! Sarah Jean is AMAZING and very talented. I drove over 5 hours away to get a tattoo from her. I wanted a quarter size tattoo and let me tell you, the detail she fit in it was 😍😍😍 . Seriously never going to a local shop in VA again! I will make the trips to Knoxville for tattoos from her from now on!!! You rock Sarah Jean!!!

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere, the people, everything. Nothing but good vibes in this shop and they actually care about you more than just snagging your money. I’ve got almost 12 hours total of ink from Sarah so far (definitely going back for countless more) and I’m beyond thrilled with her work. She’s an artist. As any tattoo “artist” should be, she’s an absolute artist. She has real pride in her work. She puts her soul into it. I have no second thoughts to just let her do her thing and see how it comes out. Blackmoon is just professional, clean, kind, down to earth wonderful people. Talented group. All of them. You can’t go wrong with anyone in this shop. Period.

Went to Black Moon back in April for my first tattoo and I loved it. The artist, Mo, was very kind and professional. He showed me what the tattoo would look like before and how it looked after. Just overall amazing throughout the entire process. He was also very helpful in the after care of the tattoo, which has healed wonderfully. I will for sure be going back if I ever decide to get another tattoo:)

Black Moon Tattoo is one of the nicest shops I have been in, hands down. It is beautiful and clean; not to mention the neat things they sell at the counter.
I have been getting tattooed for over a decade, so I have been tattooed by several artists over the years. SJ at Black Moon is the only person I trust to tattoo me now. She has done some absolutely beautiful original art on me. She also brought some of my old tattoos back to life with some incredible reworks.
It doesn’t hurt that the other artists in the shop are super friendly and knowledgeable too!! There are over 20 tattoo shops near me, but I drive almost two hours just to go to Black Moon. It is worth it folks!

Amazing tattoo shop! Such a welcoming space, good vibes as soon as you walk in. Everyone is friendly to you, even if they aren't your artist. They treat you like friends not just a paycheck. And the skills?!?! SJ created a tattoo for my friend and I that is unbelievable. Could not have asked for a better experience. We will be back and I will refer everyone I know to Black Moon Tattoo!
