Mythical Markings Tattoo Studio

I went a little while back to get my tragus pierced. They were very nice and friendly there, and it was a pleasant experience until it came to healing. She pierced my tragus with a hoop, which is not optimal for healing, as I later learned (the hoop was also impossible to remove, and I did have to use two pairs of pliers to bend it out of place). This was my first cartilage piercing, so I did not know any better to ask for a stud. It has been months, and I still have a purple bump around the piercing. My piercer also told me to wash with soap and water, and did not tell me about using saline, which is universally a great method. I had gone to another piercer a couple months after the first tragus, and the newer tragus piercing has already gone all the way down in swelling. The bump is not the only problem I have experienced. The piercing I got here is very far back into my ear, angled to the point where neither my friends, nor I can reach to put in any new jewelry. Even pieces that go in through the front do not work because I cannot reach far enough back to twist the back on. I have not had this problem with my newer tragus. Overall I'm disappointed because I am not able to change out my jewelry even with outside help. I will probably have to get it re-pierced closer to the front. I do not mean for this review to be hurtful or cruel, hopefully it can be used as a learning experience.

Mystical Markings is the best in Knoxville. All the staff are very friendly, laid back atmosphere and their artist are top notch. These are my wife and I tattoo all done by Chris. These are all very personal tattoos to us especially the memorial tattoo when we lost one of our puppies. He took great care in understanding what kind of tattoo(s) we wanted each time and they turned out amazing.

Chris did this several weeks ago. I went into the shop with one idea and Chris drew something up for me. He quoted me a very reasonable price, so I set up an appointment. After sitting on the design, I wasn't sure I wanted to get it. Loved the design, but not feeling the concept I came up with. Contacted them and Chris was super easy to work with. He was cool enough to sit and design a new piece. The studio is super clean and Chris was very personable. Thanks! (And this was really affordable, significantly cheaper than the original quote).

Absolutely the best shop! I’ve been getting tattoos here for over a year now & I’ll never go to another shop. All of the artists & employees are phenomenal. Ashley is who does my tattoos and she’s very detail oriented, clean, insanely talented, and has became an amazing friend. She listens to every thought I have and makes all my tattoo ideas come true :) she’s currently fixing a tattoo for me that a artist from a different shop had messed up. Everyone that works there has became a friend and treats me as if I’m family every time I walk in💛 They run a super clean shop & all of the artists are incredibly talented. I recommend them to everyone who asks.

Got a piercing done by Jacki she was great! She made sure I was completely comfortable. She answered all my questions. The environment was clean and very professional. Definitely would go back for any another piercing in the future. If I could I would leave her 20 stars ⭐️ Thank you Jacki for everything!

Jacki is amazing! She's now the only person I trust to do my piercings. She did my anti helix, conch, and daith and made the whole experience a fun and enjoyable one! Everything looks amazing and has healed so well I couldn't be happier!

Amazing. This place is fantastic. Simply cannot go wrong. Jackie pierced my daith and she was so knowledgeable, comforting, and all around made the experience fantastic. I was so impressed, I had Grace pierce my cartilage the same day. Grace also went above and beyond, and she is going to make one hell of a piercer after she finishes her apprentice. All the while, my husband is getting a sleeve from Ashley, and she is fantastic. They are all clean, professional, fun, and stress free. We have interacted with each artist, and you'd be lucky to get work done by anyone at Mythical Markings. Lifelong customers. Worth the wait and worth the money.

Ashley was my tattoo artist on my thigh piece. She is absolutely phenomenal. She made me feel so comfortable and was accommodating for my sessions afterwards. Jackie pierced my nose and she was very gentle and Grace held my hand because I was nervous. Everyone that works there is amazing and they all made me feel welcome. I love mythical markings and it is where I will get all future piercings and tattoos.

Seriously the best shop in Knoxville. The people there are so friendly and fantastic. Jacki did my daith and has switched jewelry out for me a few times now. I used to be terrified of getting piercings and she has been so reassuring and comforting. She's the best. Grace is so incredibly sweet as well. I can't wait for her to pierce my cartilage!
As for tattoos.... you can't go wrong. Waldo has done a few for me now and one day I'll get a Dale masterpiece. You can't go wrong with Mythical Markings
