Mythical Markings Tattoo Studio

I called Mythical Markings on 8/8/21 on whim to get a few piercings. The lady (Grace) that answered the phone was very informative and very sweet. Due to one of the piercings that I was wanting to get, I had to speak with the piercer (Jacki) first. Jacki was very professional and informative as well. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Grace and immediately felt right at home. The atmosphere at Mythical Markings is professional yet very laid back. I met with Jacki and told her what I wanted done and she accommodated me. Jacki told me to give her a few minutes to autoclave everything and while I was waiting, we talked and laughed. Jacki and Dale were both very professional during the piercings. I am beyond thrilled with all 4 of my piercings. I am so happy that I was able to find Mythical Markings. I will definitely be back for more body modification. Thank you again Mythical Markings for making me one happy lady!!!!

I just got my tattoo from Isaac yesterday. Could not wait to get to work to show it off. Every one who saw it was, just as I was, completely blown away. If there is such a thing as the perfect tattoo, I have it. Already making plans to go get more. The office staff was also very friendly and professional. It is just a great all around atmosphere. Would highly recommend Isaac he does fantastic work.

I just got my forth tattoo from Issac. One is a cover up all I can say is WOW!!! As always I’m completely blown away every time I look at it. What an amazing place. If Issac were to ever leave I would be done getting tattoos. I just don’t believe anyone else could ever compare to his work. Thank you Issac we have three more to do.

I’ve had tattoos and piercings done here. Dale is a gifted artist and I’m proud to have his work on my body. His staff is very friendly and always go the extra mile to make me feel welcome in their shop. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean shop and amazing artwork. Thank you!

Incredibly clean and great tattoo studio! Dale and his entire staff are professional and very talented! Spent 2 session about 4 hours each so far with Dale and his work is absolutely amazing! I have three more to go to finish this remarkable piece! I would highly recommend his studio to anyone wanting a great tattoo! I won’t ever let anyone else but him put ink on me! Well worth the cost and the wait! Great job to everyone there!!!!

i went to mythical markings to get a daith piercing. the piercer there, jacki, pierced my daith incorrectly and went way too deep to even get any jewelry in. after already piercing me was when she decided to mention that i didn’t have the correct anatomy for the piercing, which was not true. if i really did not have the anatomy, why would she try to pierce me at all? i went to a different piercer a month later and they pierced my daith without a single issue and could see exactly where jacki had pierced me too deep. a good piercer should to be able to admit to a mistake, not make up excuses and blame the customer.

I highly recommend Dale at Mythical Markings Tattoo Studio. I LOVE my new tattoo! Very friendly staff, lovely new office space, and excellent tattoo work! What a great experience!

I've been looking for a piercing studio to go to in Knoxville for a while after being spoiled by going to an APP-certified piercer for so long, but I was not satisfied with the piercing I received. The environment and service were fine enough, and they were kind enough to allow for me to be pierced with a labret stud instead of the lobe jewelry with butterfly clips.

My biggest concerns are in regards to their aftercare since many of the recommended aftercare directly contradicted what I had learned from my previous experiences going to an actual APP certified piercer for most of my prior piercings. Their aftercare recommendations are listed on their website, so I guess that's on me for not checking before going.

Aside from care recommendations, my biggest issue was in regards to placement and angle of the piercing. I had my third lobes done, and the process itself was great, but there must've been some miscommunication as to where on the "dot" the piercing was to be done after I had okay-ed the placement. It ended up far too close to my second lobes for me to wear the jewelry I was wanting to (I did communicate to them these plans) once it healed. Of the more than 10 piercings I've had prior, this was the first that I've just immediately taken out once I got home to let it heal up so I could try again. I did communicate this discontent with the owner, but all that could be offered was a discount towards future piercings.

I was pierced by the apprentice, Grace, who did an amazing job and was very kind. While I was ultimately not satisfied with my piercing, it's mostly in regards to the shop as a whole, which is out of your control.

Best place for piercings!! My sisters and I went to get pierced there today, and we had an amazing experience. The staff was absolutely incredible and knowledgeable! Pricing was super reasonable!! I'm never going anywhere else!

I absolutely love this shop! I will not go anywhere else for my tattoos in Knoxville. Such a great team of individuals with amazing personalities. I always enjoy spending time talking to everyone, even when I'm not getting work done. I've had work done by Dale, Isaac, Chris, and currently Ashlee! They are all incredible and it's very apparent they all strive to improve their craft daily. Hands down best place for some ink in Knoxville. Clean, friendly, and always entertaining.

I have been going to see Dale Johnson at Mythical Markings since 1996. I have followed the studio with each of its moves. The staff is always super friendly and professional. The studio is super clean. Everyone at the studio is super nice. There isn’t anywhere else that I would ever go to be tattooed! This place is hands down the best Tattoo and Piercing place in knoxville! They have pierced several piercings for my daughter! They are always very accommodating to the busy schedules of life!
