Got my elbow area tattooed by Drake in August 2020. I called in a couple of times before my appointment to confirm hourly pricing. Because its expensive to get tattooed I was trying to prepare how much cash to bring and other obvious reasons. I was told two different times he charged $150/HR. I went in got my tattoo which was good besides my elbow the lines were not completely filled in and not shaded completely. After the session I was shocked as I was told the tattoo was $250/HR! Now this was not my first tattoo, I have another half sleeve so not my first rodeo. I felt duped and Drake told me he has been charging that amount for a few years. If this was the case, Then I would imagine people answering the phone and telling me two different times that he charges $150 would know that he charges $250. Something was off here, and I highly doubt there was this bad of a mis communication. **BE AWARE** before you go to this place, make sure you verbally confirm with the artist before scheduling with anyone from Rock Of Ages.

I currently have 4 tattoos from this place. 3/4 are from Mark, who also tattooed my girlfriend and my sister. Every artist here is an expert in their preferred style and the place is well run and professional. I recommend this place to anyone I can.

Tony and Steve are top notch artists, while remaining affordable. Their line work shows no signs of blowout. After a year, their colors remain solid and vibrant.

I'm excited to return to Rock of Ages in just a few weeks to get another piece done. I went with my friend on a spontaneous tattoo adventure and wound up getting scheduled with Drake. He did a really awesome job with what I wanted, hints me returning. However, when he was doing my tattoo (25 minutes) he blared music. I love music, but I could barely hear myself think. I would've asked if he could turn it down, but it really seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. My friend went just after me. It was completely quiet and they had a really nice, friendly conversation. So, that definitely made me feel like he didn't like me personally. My friend and I couldn't figure out why. I'm a pretty chill, kind human. Maybe he was just having a moment? Nonetheless, I hope my next experience is different. I'd like to stay with Rock of Ages, but I also want to be comfortable.

I had an appointment with Drake and he was absolutely amazing and completely exceeded my expectations. He sketched up something great for me and really took the time to perfect it, it turned out even better than I could've imagined! He's also just the nicest guy and was so kind. His line work and shading is seriously outstanding, I'll be recommending him to everyone!

Excellent experience with Donnie K and the artistry in my new tattoo was beyond my imagination! The shop has a mellow and fun vibe with good tunes, with even better conversations/friendly banter. I'll definitely be back in the future for more pieces and glad I found a place that has some amazing artists!

Got a tattoo done by Tony. Super friendly dude and his experience in the industry certainly shows. He was able to take a reference design that I had and then draw it directly onto my arm with his own style. His drawing ability is top notch and the piece was form fit to contour my arm and my pre existing tattoos. He tattoos fast and with the utmost precision. Having followed Tony's work I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment less than 24 hours after first visiting the shop. I was given a max price for the piece and in the end I was charged $100 lower. I would 100% recommend this shop and Tony. I know I'll be returning in the near future.
