This tattoo shop is wonderful! Mike is who did both me and my best friends tattoos and piercings! The tattoos look amazing and we are super happy with both of them! Mike is such a great and down to earth guy! The shop is very clean and tidy! Everyone was very nice and greeted you when you walked in! If you are on vacation and want a great tattoo and great service I recommend coming to Aasylum tattoo on the Seawall!

The shop and employees were great. However my tattoo is a different story. I showed a pic to Renee told her I wanted it Vibrant. She came up with her own version which was great. She drew it up placed it on my arm outlined it all was good. She had beautiful colors in the lil cups and off she went. She only used 4 colors out of the 8. So vibrant it isn't.It is very muted and pastelly. I went to 2 different tattoo shops in my area and they both said she made " minced meat " out of my arm. There are 16
areas that she went so deep that I have to wait 3-4 weeks before I can go back for them to give me an estimate on what it would cost to fix it and color it the way it was supposed to be.They both did say just from looking at it in it's condition it would be 200-250. The girl that did my daughter's tattoo did a fantastic job. I believe her name is Brandy.

They're awesome! Did a walk in and got some angels with ak47s on my collar bones. They helped me stay within budget and made sure the tattoo placement was perfectly symmetrical! Will definitly be coming here for more :)

Billy was SO good to us! He was patient and very accommodating. He made me feel comfortable when I was getting my tattoo on my foot after I told him that I hadn’t had a pedicure haha. He was also very patient with our indecisiveness and let us know that he was there to help with whatever we needed. He did an AWESOME job!!

Ross!!!!!! Ugh I cannot say enough about that man! He is truly amazing and beyond talented. He not only was exceptional but he also went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and got exactly what I wanted in my tattoo. I came out of this shop feeling like I had made some amazing friends. He is so creative and knows exactly what to do! I even went back to have him help me with the care for the tattoo a few days later and he made sure I was a priority and taken care of immediately. I HIGHLY recommend him. I can't wait to go back and have get more tattoos from Ross! He truly cares and appreciates the client and puts them first. He is such a humble guy you won't go wrong with having Ross do you work.😊

My friends and I were able to get walk-in appointments for new tattoos, and I was surprised that we could get in. Ross was my artist and he did a fantastic job with a traditional parrot tattoo I wanted and I am so in love with the outcome! Ross was excellent, very patient with our group, and did great quality work. This was my first traditional style piece and I absolutely love it! Can’t wait for it to heal so the colors really pop!

Visited with my fiancé, intending to get both of us tattoos. Unfortunately, he was getting something Celtic and I was looking at getting something realistic. No artists were in at the time who could do realism, so only he got a piece done. It ended up fantastic. I’m only disappointed because we planned our Galveston outing around getting tattoos together, couldn’t get in anywhere until the last minute before we had to head home, and then I still walked away without ink. Overall a good shop though!

I called for a small coverup with a budget and Brandy, from the time I was on the phone until I was done, was absolutely awesome!! Loved her personality and her work, definitely will be back just for her. She helped me find a beautiful new tattoo for a fantastic price!! Absolutely loved her, thanks so much!
Edit: the staff was also super nice about me almost passing out too! 😂😂 Offered mint and chocolate to help me get my bearings back!!

I went in for a Daith piercing and verified several times what I wanted. Piercer gave me a Rook piercing instead. At least the instruments were sterilized and the piercer used appropriate sterile technique, but no aftercare instructions...

My boyfriend and I got matching tattoos here. This place is amazing! Their customer service is the absolute best! Our tattoo artist, Brandy, was phenomenal! Definitely would recommend for anyone to come here. BEST experience!
