"Visualize Tattoo is one of Tacoma’s hidden gems. The walls are crushed in vintage flash not found on google, it is a must see if you are in the area. The flash designs displayed on the walls rotate, so there is always something new to see, and all the artists love tattooing anything picked off the walls. Much of the art you see is hand painted using paint brushes and nibs. There is a small museum dedicated to sharing the history of tattoo culture in the waiting room. I will never go to another tattoo shop after my experience at Visuaize Tattoo. David did an amazing coverup with a beautiful butterfly an cherry blossoms on my arm and I am so in love with it. The shop is set up thoughtfully with TVs where I got to pick a movie to watch and the chair was super comfy. Can’t wait for my next tat! 😍

Walk-ins welcome, but always better to sit down with the artists to really get your design idea out of your imagination and onto paper.
The artists are very talented, extremely patient, and not afraid to test the limits. Ask for either David, Frank, or Amberlin. You won't be disappointed!

The guy in the glasses turned me away after I asked to have a semi colon “ ; “ put next to my eye in memory of my brother who passed away on February 21st of this year and as a marker for the birth of my daughter who was born two days before that, on the 19th of the same year. The semi colon represents a movement for mental health, anxiety, depression, and suicide. He was very judge mental, and discriminatory towards me. I feel very disrespected, and I feel that he disrespected my dead brother, my daughter, and all of those who struggle with mental health as well as disrespected his memory. I would not even try to ask for anyone in this joke of an establishment to practice their art on your temple. I wanted to get something next to my eye, in very small font so that I could always see it in my vision when looking at myself in the mirror because in a way, looking at myself I can see my best friend because when we were together we reflected each other, and it was like looking in a mirror. With that being said, thanks for turning down the opportunity to remember him, and love him with my favorite form of expressionism.
