It's hard to find a better crew than this. The vibe when you walk into the shop is instantly friendly, inviting, supportive, for newbies and tattoo enthusiasts alike. To say the staff are capital-E Experts who know their craft feels like an understatement, they're all dedicated artists who know their stuff. No matter what you're looking for, you can find an artist who can materialize your vision. Lastly, the prices really respect that work that's done here, but they're realistic. This is a place to get art on your body.

I spent the day working with Jock. Immediately, he took my ideas and ran with them. I ended up with two AMAZING pieces of unique art - I am thrilled with them both. Jock and his colleagues clearly enjoy their jobs. There was a lot of conversations, laughter, and CANDY! 😁 The shop is clean - it is clear to see that Lost Lakes takes sanitation very seriously. First of, this was the former Iron Quill Tattoo on Sherman. I was supposed to get my first tattoo done by an artist there, but got a call about a week before the appointment after I had already met with him once, saying he no longer worked there but they had this new guy Isaac there who had been doing work for about 10 years, just not with them. I could be one of his first customers there if I wanted so I agreed. I was even more nervous now but I went into the shop and talked with him a bit and he was super cool and helped me relax a lot before I was going into the chair. He did a good job working on it for the next few hours and even took my idea farther and made it seem more complete. The colors and lines still look good after more than a year, I would recommend. Also, he rocks an impressive handle bar mustache. If I ever decide to get another tattoo he’s the guy I’m going to find.
