Starkweather Tattoo Collective

Zion was awesome! I am generally an anxious person and I am always nervous before tattoo appointments. Zion had multiple stencils drawn out in different styles when I arrived for my appointment. I had so inquired about getting a 5 year old tattoo touched up. He explained to me how he would approach the touch up, with it being a bit aged, before he began. He was professional and kind. The shop itself is very non intimidating. I’ve been to other tattoo shops that “feel like tattoo shops” and that atmosphere at Starkweather is much more relaxed. Zion is also a very gentle tattooer! He checked in with my often to see how I was doing, if I needed a break, water, etc. I highly recommend him and I would love to be tattooed by him again in the future.

Zion was amazing! The tattoo was exactly what we wanted and he was very good at giving all the options we had to get the exact tattoo we wanted. It was my brother’s first tattoo and he was great at easing him in and letting him know what he was going to do so it was less nerve wracking. Fantastic experience and would definitely return!

I am working with Janelle Hanson on integrating a forearm sleeve piece into an existing half sleeve. She has been a pleasure to work with. I gave her some ideas and concepts and she did her thing, and it is turning out better than I expected. The shop itself is clean, everyone I have interacted with has a positive vibe. I have worked with other shops in town and the vibe or bro attitude has turned me off. Starkweather is professional and highly recommended…if you can get in. It takes awhile, so be patient. It is worth the wait.

I had such a great experience here. I went to see the artist Zion and he created the most beautiful tattoo for me. I've wanted one of his pieces for a while, and it was so incredible to finally get a tattoo from him. The shop was beautiful and so unique. The reception staff was kind and professional. While I was getting my tattoo other artists would come by to just check it out, everyone was so nice. Will definitely be going back.

I came to Starkweather as a tattoo virgin, Zion was very clear in his general vision and though process for the design process well before the appointment date. Personally I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable first tattoo experience, Zion checked in regarding my opinions and feelings at every step in the process, he offered a variety of options for stylistic details on the work and was very considerate and gentle with his work. Im hoping to find myself in his chair again before too long!

I got a tattoo this week from Zion and couldn’t be happier. He drew up my idea perfectly, and the tattoo looks so great, I’m really excited about it. He was also a pleasure to work with and spend time with. I hadn’t gotten a tattoo in 20 years, and I felt so confident after seeing his work. Definitely recommend him and the shop itself.

You can’t ask for more out of a tattoo shop! They are extremely professional, talented, welcoming, and kind. The shop itself is clean. The artists are welcoming and make you feel comfortable. Janelle was the artist who did work on me and her work is absolutely beautiful! I look forward to going back here for more work, just a great business and great people.

Recently got my first tattoo here and had a great experience! Everyone was super sweet and down to earth. Zion was great to work with, I was comfortable the whole time and he was knowledgeable and thorough with the process. Definitely will be coming back in the future for more work!

I got a forearm tattoo with Andy, and it's amazing!!! I came in with a very flexible concept and he perfectly put together a tattoo that was even better than I could have imagined. He was so friendly from start to finish and the whole experience was comfortable and enjoyable. I interacted with other staff as well and everyone was warm and inviting. I had one small tattoo before this, so this was my first full piece and I was very nervous since I was unfamiliar with the process, but there's no doubt I'll be back there for my next one. I checked out the other artists' work and they're all incredibly talented so I'll probably be booking with them as well, but I'll most definitely schedule with Andy for more.
