My experience with Funhouse was awesome. Hunter Knolmayer was my artist and he completely killed my tattoo. Definitely one the most respected artist in the game for Southern California. He did a black and grey tattoo for me that turned out better than I could have ever expected. He is a true artist and strives to be one of the best in the tattoo game and I would definitely recommend him to anyone for any tattoo.

I am very grateful to have found this place. My artist is highly skilled, professional, and works more quickly than the other artists I was given quotes and timelines from; making his work well worth the price. He considered every aspect while putting together the design and made sure nothing would be out of place before beginning his work. I originally went in there with a more basic design in mind and he took it and suggested an even more awesome piece that fit perfectly together, without going over the price limit on hours that I was able to afford. I wasn’t expecting to find someone who could actually do that detailed of a design but agreed for him to go for it.... and I couldn’t be happier with the result. For highly detailed, clean, great quality work, look for Skott. Especially if you have a gray and black realistic type piece in mind.

I had a previous Haida killer whale shoulder piece I got about a year ago, and I really felt like it was lacking and not complete. Seth's work turned out great - he was able to work with what I already had, what I wanted, and tattoo regulations that I am under for the military! Couldn't be happier. He is an expert on Polynesian/Haida-type art and knew the best ways to make certain areas of the art pop, he even used the older ink as contrast which was amazing. All in all a great experience. All of the artists are super knowledgeable and friendly, so definitely give Funhouse a try!

I went in there today to get a tattoo. I spoke w Tristan yesterday and he was extremely friendly. He told me to come in tomo on a walk in. He came in today on his day off to take care of me. He was professional, courteous and extremely nice. He is an apprentice there but you would not know that by his work and knowledge of tattooing. His lines were crisp and sharp. He did a great job and got himself a customer for life. Thanks to Tristan and fun house. You are awesome!!!!

R2 was fantastic. It was the first tattoo for both my wife and myself and he could have not made us feel more comfortable. Prior to us arriving in San Diego on vacation from New York, we worked with Jeremy on the time, date, and artist (R2) We exchanged a few ideas with R2 and he then worked his magic. If you want a quality tattoo and good vibes, Funhouse Tattoo is the place to go! I've been going to Tony for years now, and he's freehanded each piece. He and the rest of the crew do amazing work and everybody in the shop is really welcoming. Can't wait til my next session! :)
