Everyone that I've interacted with there was really nice. Octavio is doing a great job on my tattoo and was very understanding and had patience with my fears and phobias. Everyone who has seen it has been really impressed with the quality. Can't wait until my next session! Pinker skin picture is the day it was done. Yellow tinged picture is after it healed.
Update went back for another one and he did just as awesome as the first! Fresh ink so don't mind the angry skin.

I waited two weeks to write this review. My experience here at anchor tattoo with the owner Anthony Stewart was not exactly what I had hoped for. When first inquiring about my tattoo coverup he was very responsive and eager to work with me. But once he got my deposit the communication was extremely lacking. He never once asked me what I wanted to get, not for any reference pictures, Nor did he check in with me before my scheduled appointment. Once I showed up for my appointment he had absolutely nothing drawn up. He went back and drew up the design after a very brief two minute conversation with me and still hadn’t looked at any of the reference pictures that I had. Once we sat down and he showed me what he had drawn and neither of the two designs were what I was wanting. I had tried to show him the reference pictures because I had wanted dahlias and what he had drawn up did not resemble the dahlias. He never looked at the picture and continue to reassure me that he knew what he was doing and that the reason why he drew the flowers the way that he did was because I had a cover-up that I was doing. The cover-up was only an outline and less than an inch tall around my wrist. I felt even more uncomfortable because as I was trying to tweak the design I had an entire shop of people listening to our conversation. He continued to push his design on me reassuring me in every way possible that he knew what he was doing, I just didn’t see the vision that he had, and that I was going to love him once this is all done. I should have left right then as he was pressuring me and just had eaten the hundred dollar deposit. After he put the stencil on he went out back and proceeded to get stoned. I don’t have a problem with weed but I would prefer when somebody is working on me that they are sober. He also stopped after the outline to again go smoke with friends. So now I have two disjointed flowers that look like some weird mashup of lotus and dahlias along with floating leaves that I have to get fixed. For $200 an hour this was not the experience or tattoo that I was definitely expecting to get. He needs to work on his communication, have designs drawn up beforehand, so that way a client can make any tweaks or rearrangements that are needed before showing up to the tattoo appointment. Not to mention that he needs to work on his receptive communication skills and not pressure his clients into getting tattoos that he wants to do simply because he is too lazy to change the designs.
