Blue Wave Tattoo Kauai

This was my first tattoo and Jon was a consummate professional. In fact, on the same day my son and my daughter’s boyfriend got their first tattoo, my daughter got her second, and my son’s girlfriend got her sixth! We were in the shop all day and through it all Jon was awesome! He is a talented and gifted individual and it’s obvious that he loves what he does and it’s exemplified by his artistry and work. I will definitely tell everyone about our great experience. Thank you, Jon!!

Seriously speaking- Jon is a really talented artist that has no front or frills to hide behind, someone who is honest and let’s his (line) work speaks for itself- which is f’n amazing!!
Jon knocked out my wife and my tattoos in about 3 hours (which we expected 4-5hrs total) and even scheduled it before our flight departure.
If you’re visiting the island or you’re a local (which we felt like a local while being there..) and wanting a tattoo- then schedule an appointment and have Jon perform his artwork upon your body!
Good conversation, great music (thanks for turning us onto Oliver Tree- we can’t stop playing his music now!), very efficient, clean, convenient location, and of course- the best tattoo artist on the islands!

Jon did an excellent job on my Sanskrit symbol on my forearm. I absolutely love it! He was good to talk to you. He's very meticulous and his tattoos turn out beautiful and perfect! I'm definitely going to keep having him do my tattoos when I go to Kauai!

My best friend and I came to Kauai after visiting other islands for a field studies college and we each wanted tattoos to commemorate the adventures. Coming to Jon was the best decision. He is professional and has a very clean and relaxing shop. Jon is an amazing person and has a good vibe. I would highly recommend coming to his shop! If I'm ever back in Kauai, I will make a stop for some more ink!

Jon is the man! I had been wanting to get my first tattoo for some time, and with one day of lead time, Jon was able to turn my vision into ink. I texted him a few ideas, and he made modifications while I watched on his iPad, until I was 100% satisfied. Jon artfully crafted my tattoo in far less time than I thought it would take, and for less than 2 bills. Thanks for the great tattoo, but also thanks for the conversation and comedy relief. AAAAAA++++++ would recommend and will be back.

My wife and I were here on the last day of our visit to Kauai. I had made a decision to get a tattoo before I headed back to mainland. I did not have an appointment. I arrived at the studio 15 minutes before opening and Jon let me right in. We talked for a few minutes and he did a couple of quick sketches to show me what he was thinking and we decided on a design. The pictures below are from the day of and 4 weeks later. Overall I'm very happy with everything thing at Blue Wave. Jon is a little eccentric and the shop has a funky vibe but he is a good artist and the shop is clean. If I ever make it back to the island I will be go back for more ink.

Jon was awesome!! The vibes were immaculate and he made us feel welcomed and comfortable . He did an amazing job and the tattoo is one of the cleanest most well done tattoos I have.

John was my tattoo artist. He did a great job. The environment was very nice. He was Super friendly and very talkative. Which I liked. It helped distract from the pain. I got the tattoo on my ribs. Which I was expecting to be painful. I enjoyed the conversation I had with him while he was tattooing me. Reasonable price. I would recommend coming here.
