Randy at Pink Rhino was fantastic for my first piercing! I will not go anywhere else as long as I’m Chicago. In a 20 min total visit, he educated me on the right size ring to start with for my helix, got all the paperwork done, did the piercing, and answered all of my paranoid, care-related questions.
Go with an image of what you want, but, for your own benefit, be open to slight shifts in placement. Randy tries to follow the natural shape of your ear when placing cartilage piercings. This approach helped my helix piercing heal within a little over a week without so much as a hint of potential infection.
As a bonus, I called ahead not long from close and they were nice enough to take me in. What a damn place!
