Carmel Tattoo is such an awesome place. All the staff are extremely friendly and came over to say hi while Barry worked on my tattoo. The space is very clean and welcoming and Barry did such an amazing job on my tattoo, it brought tears to my eyes. I drove 35 minutes to come here and I would come back time and time again. If you are looking for a place to go for your next tattoo or piercing this is it! Ask for Barry!

As beautiful as this place is, and as nice as the staff was, it doesn't make up for how bad my piercing experience was. I have NO problem letting an inexperienced piercer pierce me, and although I was upset she had to do it a second time (which was not my fault and most people would have been extremely upset about) I gladly let her 'try' again.
Except, septum piercings do NOT go through your nose cartilage and it was extremely crooked. The lady who pierced me didn't even confront me about the mistakes when I can back in from freaking out in the car mirror, she let someone else refund my money and try to make up for her errors.
As someone who has had a septum piercing, as well as several others, this is unexcusable.

Very nice place. I loved working with Ellie to get some piercings. I would avoid calling because they rarely answer the phone (working with clients) but they are super responsive and helpful via email. Send one through their website. I'm going back for more piercings soon!

Carmel Tattoo Ink is located in the arts district in downtown Carmel. They have some designated parking behind their building, but if those spots are filled, there is public parking right next to the reserved area.
Inside it’s clean and very beautifully decorated. Love the vibes. The receptionist was very friendly and kind. I was just in for a piercing, so can’t comment on the tattoo portion of the business, but they looked to have a clean and professional setup.
The piercing is done in a private area, and the workspace is organized and clean. Shelle is absolutely wonderful to work with. Takes her time, friendly, and very professional. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Made sure I understood aftercare and was open to any questions I had. I am sure I’ll be back again!

Ellie SAVED me. I got a piercing-gone-wrong somewhere else and called needing a walk-in appointment to get jewelry removed. Ellie fit me in quickly and made me feel SO much better. I was definitely in panic mode and she was so patient, answering all of my questions with 0 judgement. Also Ellie was super gentle and caring. Thank you Ellie and Carmel Tattoo INK team, you guys rock!
