I just got my tattoo done by Jacob. It looks amazing, I've been wanting it for a while and I'm so glad I went here. The place was clean, everyone was nice and I'm definitely coming back for my future ones as long as I'm living in the area

I’ve been getting tattooed by Robert for 16 years. I’d never go anywhere else. Cody and Brandi are both immensely talented as well and I can always count on Jj for great conversation and piercing help.

Robert has run an immaculately clean shop for the entire time I’ve known him. Neither he, Cody, Brandi or Jj would settle for any less than perfection when it comes to sterilization and proper tattoo/piercing procedure.

Any of the artists will listen to your ideas, and then shape them into something unique to them and to you. Each artist has their own tattooing style, but they make each piece their own for their clients. Patience and respect for the artist who is helping you design something you’re going to have on your body until you die is a worthwhile process. You won’t regret it.

I know the other shops in town, and trust me, your best choice is Black Mammoth. Stop in, say hi, talk to the artists or Jj and see for yourself.

I’ve since moved to Oklahoma, about 6 hours away. I’ll still be driving back to Manhattan for tattoo appointments. I get stopped and asked about my tattoos so often that I’ve taken to carrying blank Black Mammoth appointment cards with me so I can hand them out and tell people down here to check them out.

Lastly, if you’re one to balk at the hourly shop rate, just remember: a good tattoo is never cheap, and a cheap tattoo is never good.

I've gotten 3 pieces completed by Robert Black. I absolutely LOVE his work. Very professional place, very clean, and a very comfortable atmosphere. The only place around that I would ever go to for my tattoo needs.

Last night I went into the shop to get my nose double pierced, JJ was AMAZING. He was very professional but so easy to hold a conversation with. I’ve been to a lot of different piercers and I have never felt more comfortable with a piercer. It was such a sterile environment and I know when I’m all healed I’ll be going back to him to have him stick me with more needles. Thanks JJ!!

I had a floral memorial tattoo done by Cody Bader about a year ago. His idea was beyond what I had pictured in my head. It turned out better than I dreamed. I love the style of it and host story of how he became a tattoo artist. He’s very professional and does phenomenal work. I would very highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get art on their body for life.

Hands-down the best tattoo shop not only in Kansas but my opinion the United States. Robert and Cody unbelievable specially if you knew Cody’s history and background of tattooing and how he got into it awesome story to hear if you’re ever in there have them tell your truly incredible in my opinion I would rather wait five years to get a tattoo there then walking to any shop anywhere and get one today put me on the waiting list I’ll wait before I ever get another tattoo anywhere else

Great staff and atmosphere, very clean space. I highly recommend getting your piercings here. JJ has tons of experience, does great work, and is the nicest guy

Got a daith piercing today with JJ. He came highly recommended and he didn’t disappoint! Great personality and makes you feel super comfortable. Very good at his job!! I’ll be back! Shop is super clean and front desk girl is super knowledgeable and helpful!!!

I just moved to Kansas in December 2018 and was looking for a piercer that was patient and walked me through everything. JJ did just that. I got my Daith piercing with him and his technique was amazing. I was worried about the pain and I didn’t even feel anything. I had my belly button pierced by someone else and was having some irritations with it and JJ oriented me on what I could do better from how I clean it to what kind of pants I’m wearing that may cause some irritation. The Black Mammoth is my go to recommendation to anyone who is looking for a piercer! My sister in law even got a nose piercing done by him and she’s from out of state and loved him! Definitely won’t be disappointed!!

Very clean & professional. Worked with both Brandi & JJ - I have absolutely no complaints! I intend to return for additional tattoos & piercings in the future. As a matter of fact I have no intention of going anywhere else!
