I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to get tattoo work done.
Great experience for my first tattoo. I work a weird schedule and can never get in on weekdays, and these guys were booked out pretty far on Saturday. I went in a talked with the scheduling manager to try and work out a time. I was only wanted a small amount of work done so it would only take an hour or two. He talked to the artist Chris and he agreed to come in at 10:30 the next weekend to take care of me.
As for the actual process of getting the tattoo, Chris was very cool about it all. Answered all my questions, didn't pressure me at all and made sure I was comfortable. On top of all of that he did an awesome job, I can't stop checking out his work in the mirror. Great experience.

This place is awesome. Clean shop, great customer service, and best of all their talent is second to none. The vibe when you walk in is so chill. Evan is an incredible tattoo artist and has made me feel comfortable giving him an idea and letting him run with it. I would not go to another shop, ever. If they can't do it, it can't be done.

Love all the artists. Mikey is a friend of mine and has done a gorgeous piece on my left shoulder blade area - going back for more ink soon! Bob Bitner is also crazy, amazing, outstandingly good. Everyone in the shop is friendly and AMAZING at what they do. <3 Oh and I now drive 9+ hours to get my tattoos here because they are the best of the best and worth it.

Beyond amazing place and people. Went to Heather B for my first tattoos December of 2015 and was already back for another consult in January. Just went for a 6 hour session Thursday and it was outstanding, I was completely comfortable the whole time. Highly recommended any of the artists, they're all around amazing!

Mikey Ruck did an amazing job fixing the botched tattoos I received at another shop. In the same session, he also did a Batman tattoo for my husband who has many large tattoos. Mikey is by far the best tattoo artist we have been to in the past 10 years - and his kind non-judgmental attitude makes it that much sweeter! We both feel like we have finally found a tattoo artist that we know will give us great work and that we can feel comfortable with. As long as Mikey is doing tattoos, we'll be loyal to him! We also really liked the shop - very clean. And unlike many shops we've been to, when you walk in, you are actually greeted by very friendly artists. You feel completely welcome and comfortable from the moment you step in the door - and it continues throughout the entire experience! I'm sure all the tattoo artists here are great, but we can definitely personally recommend Mikey Ruck!

Ashley Emerson has been tattooing my wife for 3 months now. He gives great tattoos and creates amazing artwork and puts a lot of detail into everything he touches. He has really helped my wife create a tattoo she can cherish that's every bit apart of her and his artwork style. His color is the best I have seen in Kansas City. He is a great guy, funny, and provides a relaxing comfortable atmosphere to get tattooed in. The rest of the staff is super friendly and we love watching movies, playing pool, and listening to music while we are here. Come to Catalyst for all your tattoo needs!
