Awesome artists and friendly staff. Ethen and Jake are the best artists in Springfield. As an added bonus, the people at Hearts of Fire make you feel like you're actually welcome, and they are aware that you exist as more than an ATM, unlike most tattoo shops I've been to.

Went into this place on a Wednesday because it said online that they opened at 1 o’clock. Sat outside for 45 minutes waited for someone to show up (sign said “we’ll return at 1) and eventually left because no one ever did. I called, left a voicemail with my information and that I was interested in a special piece of work. I received a DM from their Instagram the next day saying to message one of their artists. I messaged the complete details and my information, he read the messages, and never responded. That was about two weeks ago. Do yourself a favor and just go to Kaleidoscope instead.

The initial experience was average, but i am extremely dissapointed in the integrity of Matt. I asked if he could draw me up a bouquet of wild flowers with a specific flower in it because I liked his portfolio. He came back with the stencil in which he got off the internet i later found. Im not someone who wants clip art on their body, so naturally this angered me. Although the tattoo was decently done, I will not be returning, or recommending this tattoo artist to anyone who wants something they can trust is original.

I came in for my piece in November. I had been calling around to other shops in town and Hearts of Fire was the first one to actually ask about what work I wanted done over the phone. Everyone else just asked me to come into the shop.
I was a first timer, so I took my design in and spoke with Jake, who ended up doing my tattoo, and he discussed any problem I might face with my design being as small as it was and my choice of color.
I loved the design and his suggestions were helpful and honest.
When I actually had my work done, Jake was very professional and patient with me. He even redesigned the font I was using so that it would look more Celtic.
He continually checked on my comfort through the entire process and was very informative about the aftercare.
These guys were most certainly worth coming to. I am certainly going back for any future work.

Really good bunch of guys. Jake did my tat. Told him what I wanted and he came up with a design exactly what I was looking for. Left it all to him to decide colors. This guy has great artistic insight, and talent. Very reasonable rates also.
